New April 14, 2026 Recall/Possible Wire short in visors

I didn't see this recall on my Ford Pass app but when I entered my VIN on the NHTSA site, it appeared.

I have the mirrors but no lights, yet its in the recall. I got a letter and then double checked online and it was there too by VIN. Maybe another Ford Booboo!???? No wires so how's it going to short!? Other than the fact it mentions the pillar area so maybe same wire for overhead lights feed? Guess time will tell!

I just looked and yes, it is in my app for the recall, 2025 Ranger Raptor. So as soon as parts are available, I will get all three (3) taken care of. Airbag, Trailer, and now visor wires.

Home link and lighted mirrors. Such a hazard…. I will add that one onto the side airbag. Coming up in one year and 10k.

I finally got the trailer recall notice. This new one will probably show up in a month or two

Maybe they will do the same thing they did for the leaking brake switch recall a few years back and just install a fusible link in the harness in case it shorts out.

my xlt also doesn't have mirror lights. funny my 2012 escape xlt came factory with heated mirrors, with the small spotter mirrors(which I do miss) and lighted sunvisor mirrors. my 2025 ranger xlt. was pre wireed for heated mirrors(I added them) and doesnt have visor mirror lights, just mirrors. lol

Yea just like how they addressed the leaking fuel injectors on i believe the B sport, was to put a collector of some sort to drain away the dripping fuel from any hot points and not actually fix the problem.

And just checked my App only the Trailer Control module shows, on NHTSA both show up.
So im 2 for 2, that being 2 recalls for my Bronco and 2 for the Ranger
