Rear Bed Power Point Outlet Missing.

Received my FX 4 Ranger and the rear 12v power outlet in the rear bed is not there. Just the inverter plug outlet. I didn't remove the plate yet to see if there are any wiring for the 12V circuit. Any body else have this happen? I will check tomorrow to see of there are any 12V connections. The fuse panel has a fuse for a rear power point.

I guess when I when I remove the plate tomorrow I'll see if I get lucky. From what I am reading it's not there.

My 2025 doesn't have it, just a 120v. I don't think they added wiring for the 12v, so even if you did add a fuse you probably would need to run wires through.

Yes there is a 12 v source that I might be able to tap into.

Well my 25 had the same issue. Wanted 12v to run a portable fridge back there. With a little investigation found the wires were still populating the connector along the frame. Tapped in and added a 12v outlet, and a usb A and C with voltmeter. Turns on and off with ignition, also powers up if you use the no key radio power on. So in answer to someone else’s comment a ‘24 panel with both will also work..

so care to share which pins? And it looks like the purple black and black wires are the +12 and gnd going in?

how hard was it to put the wires into the connectors? Solder or crimp?

there is a thread on here where a RR owner put in a 24 panel in the bed to get the 12v outlet.

Ok the connector is a wpt-1084. I bought one from eds parts. That comes with the pins and boots. I verified the fit of the shell.

i ordered some teflon insulated silver tinned wire off eBay and when I get that I’ll wire in my usb port.

thanks to @rikairving we know that violet is +12 and black is ground.

Hopefully I didn’t get dyslexic on the labels
