@Peter949 by chance did you consider loosing fender bolts for improved access mentioned by others?
...any other 'tips' from your experience?

I don't think it will improve access much because fender attach to the body. Get a flexible 1/4 driver that's long or a very small ratchet with handle extension. Prepare to spend time. Also, if you have big hands, you are F**ked!

This is why you want to remove the top fender bolts. Trust me the extra inch or two you get from taking off three bolts is a game changer - I promise yall that

Does that suggestion apply for both driver & passenger fenders?

Just got mine done today. Driver side was easier for me at 30-45 mins. Went through the fender liner and loosened the top three fendor bolts.

As for the passenger side, I attempted to go through the fender liner as well, but as I'm missing part of my middle finger tip on the left, I couldn't get enough grasp on the bottom screw. I was able to go through the top fully by removing the coolant fill neck and airbox lid. I stuffed a towel in the turbo inlet pipe to make sure nothing fell in and used a flexible retreaval claw tool to hold the screw in place from the top while I used the flexible driver (the one linked from adrouin64) from over the airfilter with my other hand. It went in pretty quick that way in comparison to going through the fender liner. The pass side took me 2.5 hours.

Also, if you slightly twist the aluminum block to see the backside of the connector there is two little white tabs you can push in and up with an angled pick. My connectors came right out. Hardest part for me was the crappy plastic clips for the fender liners and the 2 bottom screws on each side.

Was 1000% worth it though.

I don’t have the full video ready yet, but I did throw this together to show how much loosening the fender helps and a quick overview of the process:

Same fender loosening trick on both sides?

Yup! I should have mentioned that - but it’s the exact same. Also forgot to mention in the video that the 13mm is for the negative battery terminal stud. You don’t HAVE to remove it, but it gives you a little extra room back there and you won’t have it ripping apart the back of your hand while trying to get those screws out.

Just out of curiosity, is anyone purging theses upon reinstall? Has anyone experienced moisture build-up in the DRL's? Probably not an issue in dry areas but im in the PNW and its usually damp. Just waiting for delivery to install.

There's not actually access inside the lens where the moisture build up is visible from the exterior of the truck. The modules are just LEDs that essentially shine on some fiber optics. Everything is accessed from the back of the light.

My understanding is that some moisture in the lens is normal though.
