The thing is they use to make them in US then moved to Mexico and now back to US . I had a 2009 Tacoma that was made in US.

I had a 23 SR-5. Looks like over the next 4 years they will be moving production from one of 2 plants in Mexico.

I had a U.S. Tacoma and one of the reason I moved to 2019 Ranger was because it was made in the U.S. and Tacoma in Mexico.

I wonder what affect that will have on pricing? They're already grossly overpriced.

I would like to say made in America means something. Might not be as good as the plants in Japan but I will bet it will be better then the initial quality of this gen Tacoma from Mexico.

For our Ranger Raptor, we have two production lines. One in the US and one in Thailand (mine is from Thailand). I wonder if there's a difference as well in built quality. I know there are differences in options, for example I do have rear a/c but no heated seat in the front.

For you guys questioning quality. The Camry that is made in the U.S. has a good reputation. The Tundras before the current gen has a stellar repuation. The current engine problems is a design flaw as much as Toyota want to say manufacturing debris. It's b.s. to cover their behinds. So, same people making the Tacomas that made the previous Tundras legendary.
