No problem! If I can get a Bronco (which has way more orders) in about 9 months, I suspect the Ranger delivery should be much faster!

That's my hope at least!
As another person posted Ford has not even begun scheduling much less building, so we will need to see how it shakes out. But your logic makes sense, so I will go with your thinking (hope) and just chill. Thank you again!

I think I had read there was a potential for scheduling to start this week. Fingers crossed haha. I already traded my bronco in for a used Ranger to save money on a payment for awhile!

That would be nice, but my dealer and Ford Video Guy have all said August. While I want my truck, I don't mind six months or so, as I hear you, more time to save for money down! ??

Yeah, it's August for Job 1 to start Production. Scheduling should happen before that, to essentially schedule you for hopefully Job 1, or could be later!

Regardless I'm excited! I just wish there were more threads on Ranger6G like there was for the Bronco! I'm hoping it gets a bit more active soon!

I ordered a Raptor on May 26th, the day order banks opened. My dealer told me then that at minimum it would be six to eight months.
Yea lets add some context to this. Retail or stock order?

Stock, scheduling begins this Thursday 6/22/23 so hopefully my dealer GM will soon be forwarding me a email saying my stock order has been scheduled for production & that he has tagged it in Ford’s system as mine so that at that point it will become price protected!!

For a regular Ranger, I'd say you'll be waiting 3-4 months is all. Scheduling starts this week with Job 1 early August. It took GM about 2 months to get the Colorados/Canyons out the door after job 1 started. I expect about the same for the Ranger.

People on here thinking it will take a year are up in the night. Obviously the Raptor could take a bit longer but the Ranger is not the Bronco, Maverick, or Lightning. There were only 1500 retail orders so it should go relatively quick.

You are correct. Both have been mentioned, but context on stock or retail for full clarity when posting would be helpful. Mine is a retail order, but I see your point with stock. Thank you for your "order banks" list.

If it is true about the low number of Ranger orders, that time frame seems reasonable. It just seems with CONUS finally getting the "new Ranger" demand would be higher. Confounding in a way, at least to me. For me a few months to gather more funds does not hurt. Thank you for your insight and thoughts :)

Do we know how they pull in these stock orders- asking specifically for the Raptor..Is it a completely random pull from all the eligible orders in the system, based on date entered, dealer specific based on ranking from past sales, and/or other criteria?

I apparently incorrectly posted in the "Raptor Forum" section, MY MISTAKE. I am referring to ALL RANGER MODELS as I believe Raptors are stock orders only.

I was told by my dealer this morning (06/19/2023) that realisitically, I was looking at a six month to one year wait for my XLT retail order (from order to actual delivery) even though Ford Video Guy states there are only 1,500 retail orders in the system for ALL Ranger models (which I kind of find hard to believe, even though I know many people may be waiting on the Taco, or whatever personal reason). I ordered an Iconic Silver Metalic, chrome package, XLT standard, 4x4, high tech package, sprayed in bed and standard tow (none at this point a constraint this year for the Ranger). As oppossed to prior retail orders I've made in the past, they sounded very confident that my XLT would actually be built closer to the six month time frame. I know it's all crystal ball stuff, but anybody hear similar or different from their dealer, or perhaps an inside scoop for whatever credence that may be worth?
Why in the name of Jesus would you EVER listen to a dealer ???
When my dealer called me (after I sent in an online request regarding the 24), he didn't even bother to inquire with Ford, he just said, I'll have to ask.

How in the name of Jesus from my post and questioning the dealer would you draw that conclusion? Having gone through taking a year+ to get my 2022 F-150, and never even getting scheduled for my 2023 Maverick, trust me, I sure in the hell don't take the dealer's response as gospel. That's the whole point of my post, I'm NOT listening to the dealer. I'm asking the forum members their thoughts, and maybe insider insights regarding the 2024 build timeline. Some responses were well reasoned, and helped me formulate an admittedly "crystal ball" timeline. Hopefully with the alledgedly lower retail orders (which I am sceptical about those low numbers) we MAY see the MY 24 Ranger by the end of 2024. Although, I'm now left wondering WHY "Main Commit, no retail scheduling" has to be pushed back? I see in another post Job 1 for the Ranger has been slightly pushed back to what we ASSUME will only be to 08/14. In my experience this is how it all begins. :rain:
