5000 miles along the northern route to the west coast and back. Ranger performed nearly identical to my F150 with 2.7L.
5400 lb travel trailer plus gear.

Just finished a trip towing a 5 X 8 U-Haul box trailer for about 700 miles. Averaged 22 MPG while towing. This is a small tailer with a light load (Probably 1,600 lbs total) but it towed very well with my 4X2 Lariat.

I tow a 4200 lb travel trailer plus gear and have been satisfied. Don’t know if I’d want to pull through the mountains but for my purposes it does just fine. While towing I average about 13 mpg

That's great. We tow a teadrop that weighs maybe 1700 pounds when fully loaded up and our XLT does great, even off road.

Towed a 5x8 V noise with Street Glide and gear to sturgis..1k one way..got 15 in hills..seen 17 on flat ground..70mph most time...pulled great! Used tow/haul all the way. Trans dropped to 8 on hills..was smoth. Just wish had larger fuel tank..shy of 300 mile on fill ups...my old Silverado had 32 gal BUT ONLY GOT 16MPG if didn't go over 65.

My Ranger with 2.7 V6 arrives in the next week or so. I do a lot of towing and can’t wait to see how it does. I had a 2.3L on order when the 2.7 became available and switched immediately. I was a bit worried about towing performance with it, but it sounds like they are very capable.

This is good to hear. If i'd known it was going to take me a year from pre-order to delivery, I would have went with the 2.7L for sure. Wish I'd just changed my order.

I'm not clear was the trailer 5400 lbs with or without your gear?
I have a feeling with water tanks and gear mine will be around 5600 once I have the WDH, mattress upgrade and normal camping supplies all loaded up.
