There is nothing in the roof, just bare metal , sounds like hail storm in a tin barn when it rained prior to sound deadening my roof. I did both my doors, my roof, and did a little more behind the front fender liners on the firewall. Love this stuff. For sure worth it imo too.

Yeah I was made fully aware of just how tinny the roof was after going through a pressure washer car wash. Sounded like the jets were coming through the roof. That’s why I’m really contemplating tackling the headliner and doing the 2 layer deadener to the roof. I can only imagine it’s well worth the headache. It’ll be one of those wake up one Saturday morning and just don’t overthink it and just start mythology doing it….Get frustrated along the way, drink a few beers, and low & behold it’ll be done & back together!

Added a Trailrax rack to my ranger yesterday. and today I dropped off the logo plate, and lightbar brackets to my dealer to paint match to the truck, Diode Dynamics SS40 pro smart select is ordered.

Also today I picked up the pins from my cousin in the dealer parts dept, that are needed to complete my hested mirror upgrade install on my XLT. I currently have jumper wires made. Will be adding puddle lights, and I might do some led strips in behind the mirrors for turns.(truck was prewired to mirror plug on the truck side for the upgraded mirrors, minus the cameras. lol
I will be updating my thread when the pin install is completed.

Is that the "Reflective Topo w/Red" option/ I was wanting a code orange variant, but if that's the red that Tuffskins offers it looks pretty close to code orange.

Yesterday I received WeatherTech no drill mudflaps and their window deflector kit.
So today was installation day! Mudflaps went on with minimal drama, but installing the deflectors made me realize I unfortunately had a bad window seal from the factory...

I painted the little center gear shift cover Code Orange and I am not sure if I will leave the Tufskinz on or leave the Code Orange its just sitting there have not stuck it on

Got my Trailrax logo plates, and lightbar mounts back from paint today(not a run, just the way the reflection is off the plate). It was cheaper to give them to my dealer bodyshop to paint match, then it would of been for me to paint them, and not do them the best. lol. My primer(35 bucks or more a can) was not the best, my clear(35 bucks or more) is expired and gone hard. and it was 60 bucks or more to get a rattle can of the tricoat E7 mixed up. Prep, painted, and expoxied, then baked over night. was 45 bucks for them to make the paint, and expoy. and like 60/70 labour, and shop supplies.

Can't wait for my SS40 smart select to show up in a week or so. The Black with the paint match highlights will have a good contrast between black bar, blue mounts, black rack.

Side Note, if you wanna throw your rack on with the lightbar cutout wind faring and no lightbar yet... Dont. I made that mistake. But I wanted to get it done, and avail of the nice weather, took me 6hrs by myself. Lightbar will be a few minutes tossing it up. lot of wind turbulence from the cutout and no lightbar. lol
