Thought it would benefit future Ranger purchasers to know what current owners payed for their Ranger. As Raptors have such a messed up supply chain/demand climate, lets have a poll just for XL, XLT, Lariat models. Obviously feel free to post how much above, below MSRP you paid. I just ordered a Lariat at invoice. The dealer (Sheehy Ford, Richmond, VA) advertised $2500-$4000 off their 7 models on their lot. However, at least $1000 of that was in the form of a trade in allowance.
I'm shocked at a LOT of the responses here. My local dealership, Planet Ford 45, sells all non-Raptor F150s and Non-Raptor Rangers at their cost from Ford. Often times less. So, an F150 is usually about $6K - $9K under MSRP and my 2025 Ranger XLT 2.7L with the FX4 was $38K on a sticker of $45,680.

This is a typical deal.

Wow, crazy! Around me I have 3 Ford dealers within 45 minutes but none of them have or ever have Rangers. 1, maybe 2 on the lot. And zero ever have one with the 2.7L V6.

I'm already picky as is, but tried to loosen up. Couldn't even find one with the 2.7L, let alone in Marsh Gray like I wanted. So had to order, but got almost everything I wanted exactly - with the exceptions of removing the Power Moonroof due to the Ford delay, and also not being able to add some features like Heated Mirrors or 400W power in bed due to Ford either not even offering them on an XLT, or forcing you to combine them into a package with other features I didnt want

At the end of the day, paid 7% off MSRP, so just a hair below invoice.

You got what you wanted (mostly), and you were willing to pay for it - everyone wins.

The Ranger doesn't have a moonroof.

A few days ago, I built a Ranger Lariat with 2.7 and a few options. $55k sticker. Then I built a F-250 CC 4x4 with V8 and a few options. $56k sticker. Different trim levels, but similar interior content on both because of how they package stuff. Obviously a LOT more room and capability with the Super Duty.

I don't understand why the Ranger has gotten so expensive. I get that some people just want the smallest truck they can buy...but why does it have to cost the same money??

Yeah, you can buy a $40k Ranger but then you get the Rubbermaid interior and zero options or niceties.

I picked up my 2024 Lariat, FX4 with the 2.7 for $40,000 new in December of 2025. The sticker on it was just short of $58,000 which is Raptor money. No wonder it never sold.

A couple of points.

"I don't understand why the Ranger has gotten so expensive."
You took a mid-sized competitively-priced truck and made it expensive.

"I get that some people just want the smallest truck they can buy...but why does it have to cost the same money??"
It doesn't - see my first point. Also, the smallest truck you can buy is arguably the Maverick, and they're downright cheap.

"Yeah, you can buy a $40k Ranger but then you get the Rubbermaid interior and zero options or niceties."
I prefer scaling purchases to match my needs, hence cash OTD for a Ranger. Though I will admit that I'm not extravagant, and you may be.

Also, Rubbermaid is quality kitchenware. :)

58k?!? Did they add 5 tonneaus and every accessory they could find? My 2025 Lariat 2.7 was like 54k MSRP.

It was fully optioned out. Like I said, it's no wonder it never sold at that price.
