So does the bottom half of the taillights just not ever light up other than reverse? I've never seen it lit up.

And you would think for the price of it they would throw a regular bulb in there. So does the bottom half of the taillights just not ever light up other than reverse? I've never seen it lit up.

Did some research and you are correct. Another thread created about a year ago verified this.I believe they do on the Rangers than have the upgraded LED lighting package. So the Raptors will as standard, but the rest need to have the LED upgrade
For real, especially if it was related to safety. And you would think for the price of it they would throw a regular bulb in there.
I think all 6G Rangers have LED headlights and taillights. That is what I understand from the Build site. Lariat upgrades the headlights from LED reflector to LED projector.I believe they do on the Rangers than have the upgraded LED lighting package. Couldn't agree more. Replaceable led units would be so much better maintenance wise, and fiscally wise too. A tailight worth over a thousand dollars is ridiculous and very poor engineering. The side obstacle detection module in the taillight requires programming too. Headlights fall in this category too on many cars.thats the only thing i worry about... what happens when the leds go out. i would rather have bulbs so i can put an led in the housing and replace it when it goes out.
LED last for about 100,000 hours so about 11 years with them being on 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All my vehicles that have had LED I never replaced any. Heck even from the 90's I never replaced a halogen bulb.thats the only thing i worry about... what happens when the leds go out. i would rather have bulbs so i can put an led in the housing and replace it when it goes out.
