I think a single can long bed base model would be awesome too. Can be manual everything like my 04 ranger was. Even manual transmission would be great.

This truck was an edge model, which was the xl with a different bumper and stickers on the bed. Basically the old version of the stx.

And that's me picking up my stx from the dealer in my 04 edge, 2 years ago.

While I now have a Raptor, when I got my '19 Ranger I believe the price for Lariat, which I got, and the XLT was like $3500 more. The differences were huge, no question IMO is was worth twice the difference. Not sure about current non-Raptor models.

The best trim level debate is just a bunch of hyperbole. Features that are must haves for me, may be frivolous to you. Same goes for customization and upgrades. It can be fun and interesting at times discussing the desires from a truck with basic options like manual windows and rubber floor mats to a godzilla powered fully optioned raptor. Isn’t it cool that we live in a country where we can choose what we want in our vehicles? You do you, and let me do me.

Yep.... I have my GT350 for the Zoom-Zoom, my Bronco for the Off-Road fun, and the Ranger Raptor for everything in between (including zoom-zoom, and off-road fun - this thing is a BLAST).

The Bronco is not quick, and the Shelby is useless off-road.
Raptor has some skills.....!!!!!!!

I agree. I never buy a new vehicle and typically buy 2-3 year old models which avoids taking a massive depreciation hit from buying new. The 2024 Lariat I just bought sold new for just under $54k as optioned. I just bought it for $37k with nineteen months and 21k mile still on the manufacturer's warranty.

I would have preferred a 2025 to get the updated 2.3L engine but the price jumped substantially. I can do a lot of walnut blasting on the intake valves with the price difference. Or install a catch can and greatly reduce the rate of carbon buildup on the intake valves.
