Ford Performance Tune Released for Ranger Raptor for 455 HP / 536 LB-FT Torque

There are a number of different types of ASE certification. For example, a tech might be ASE certified in Air Conditioning only.

Has anyone asked Ford Performance if a specific ASE certification is needed? The wording seems to imply it would be any type of ASE cert which is comical but also opens up the market considerably.

Interesting. I could see that causing some issues for people down the line because there is no mention of that in the installation instructions.

I haven’t been following this thread the whole time so excuse me if I'm asking something redundant. What is the cheapest way to buy this thing ? And it sounds like the Ford dealer is the safest way for the install, correct ?

The FP Tuner arrived Thursday evening. Went to the Ford dealer in Ft. Peirce Fl and they don't tune or download.
Anyone know of someone that can download somewhat close to Port St. Lucie Fl or Fort Pierce Fl?

Or an independent shop that's certified?

The PDF you linked states tire/gear size can be adjusted. Diagnostic Feature 3, letter G.

I was playing my Procal today and it does let you program tire size and gear ratio.

Question: I saw noticed this also. I just had mine installed and had the dealer do the work. I asked them to specify my new wheels and told them they can use 638/revs per mile. Is this how the system works - e.g. you enter the revs per mile or the actual tire size in the tool?

Yes, revs/mi is what the Procal needs. When I entered a new value it seemed to go through 3 programming cycles, not sure why. Maybe had to hit multiple modules? After the first one it threw a P160A code but it cleared it on the last one before instructing to power off.

Not sure why it went through different programming cycles, but most configure their wheel size so it matches the speedometer. I wonder if they have and use different maps depending on tire size, separate than just the speedo calibration. Mine seems to have less engine braking with the new map installed.

Same here in Brazil. Do you think the Procal won't work with non US Raptors? Maybe a VIN lock?
