not sure if it helps, but I installed the turbosmart intercooler and just the Borla axle backs a couple weeks ago, ( I was already running the FP tune for about a year) and it pulls strong now. I had noticeable turbo lag which has been greatly reduced. I live in Texas where we are 100+ degrees most the year though.

Since the factory intercooler seems to perform pretty poorly, I'd love to compile a list of all the available Intercooler options for the Ranger Raptor.

If we could post where they're available from (preferably within the US), how much $, and what kind of performance they offer, I'll put a list together.

Whether or not the vehicle has to be modified would be good info to include as well.
I’m running the COBB intercooler. I don’t think you get significantly better performance from an aftermarket intercooler, but it does allow you to avoid the heat soak of the factory unit, so the ECU doesn’t pull timing which results in a loss of power. The aftermarket intercoolers make a huge difference in IATs, especially when the weather is warm.

I've got the CV Fabrication one but not installing yet. Don't see this added to the list. Anyone install it yet?

Mine showed up today. Not an install guide in sight either eh? For the cost the quality seems solid, but zero details on install is a big negative. Recalled seeing how you use the Whipple install guide.

Bummer, sorry to hear that. I believe the Wagner is a much easier install as well at a nice price point, I plan to go that route at some point.

I guess they're not going to bother with one and use someone else's. I still haven't yet but on the next month is the schedule. It doesn't look that complicated.

In the Wagner instructions, it says remove the shutters. For someone that installed one, can the shutters stay in?

I did the CVF it was easy and took about an hour only a few bolts did not have to jack up the truck,
the shutters have to come off for the install and reconnect the shutter motor and snap tie it to other wires by the front grille or you will get a CEL.

I pulled the shutters ahead of time and it will generate a code but without the light coming on.. I ran codes after and found it. I have a fix that I'm about to test to the code won't generate.

Interesting.

So far after watching Braptor install vids I am not impressed. I was thinkin it's more like the Turbosmart IC and straight swap.

If I have to remove the bumper and ditch parts I may request a refund and eat the loss. I want simple and easy, if that means paying more...sucks. The lack of any install docs should have been a clue. I

Not to beat a dead horse here, but also considering some upgrades with the IC & pipes.

Based on looking through this forum, top 3 ICs are cobb, turbosmart, & Wagner. Cobb and turbosmart seem pretty similar in price and install... Wagner retains the rear shutter shroud but needs cutting and some miscellaneous trimming... anyone have some hard opinions on turbosmart or cobb?

Also, does anyone find value with changing charge pipes? Ive only seen CVF and AFE, any other considerations? Pricing between the 2 is a few hundred bucks.. any have a preference?

I'm still undecided on keeping the CVF. In your shoes, and depending on the budget, I'd recommend Turbosmart. But it's all about what's important to you.

Pipes I want to do, and was leaning towards CVF. After my experience with the CVF IC I'll probably go AFE. That being said the price of CVF pipes and IC isn't all that much more than just a Turbosmart IC. From a cost perspective CVF products are in the lead big time.
