sounds like you found a good dealer.
Very nice! Finally sound deadened all the doors and added the Ford Focal IS Inside 6x9’s (did the tweeters weeks ago) to the front doors along with open backed dust & water shields. Did the same thing to the back door speakers but opted to just keep the factory B&O’s since the fronts are the true performers.
Had a great experience with the Siless brand on my previous F-150 so I decided to use the brand again. This time I did the dual layer method which started with a layer of the thicker 120mm foil backed and then a layer of their 3in1 hybrid over the top of that.
All I can say is Holy Crap!!! What a difference it makes! Where these doors once sounded like a tin can when you rapped on the exterior and sounded equally anemic opening & closing them, they now sound like a Cadilla……..Lincoln, I mean. The doors feel like a tank now and close with an actual thud and with the added weight & oomph behind them, they close and fully engage the latch easier with a soft close. 1/2 the time I’d catch the doors on that in between latch that keeps it propped open and I’d need to go through the process again. Even with adjusting the door strikers the best I could, flipping them upside down or swapping sides of the truck. Never been a door slammer. But the real beauty is how much quieter the truck travels down the road, Damn! Plus the stereo benefits, Double Damn!!
The rear tubs and as much as I can under the rear carpet & seat is next. I’ve seen the light now and the dual layer method is the only way I’ll proceed.
Now I’m truly considering tackling the headliner. The guy with the shelter green RR has a great video on taking it down. It can’t be that bad. It’ll be worth it!![]()
