2024 Ranger Raptor $6k discount from msrp

Last week I went and looked at a used ‘24 RR at my local Mazda dealer. White with extra graphics, beadlock wheels and around 1450 miles on the odometer. Dealer was asking $55k. Guy traded it in for a new Miata. (Had a Porsche Cayman that was in a hit and run before the RR).

Prices are definitely coming down some. There is a ‘25 Shelter Green RR “in transit” to a local dealer that I might pull the trigger on? Dealer is already advertising it -$500 below sticker. We’ll see? I’m getting antsy with talks of tariffs.

Truck is built in Michigan! How would the tariff's threat(and that's prob as far as it's going to go) effect the price in a significant way for a RR, or any other vehicle made in the U.S. I know parts are made outside the U.S., but how much? My sticker does not show a break down.

They won't pass tariff cost of a lower price point Maverick, made in Mexico, onto the Maverick buying cost-conscious customer, but rather make it up on higher margin vehicles, regardless if they are made in Michigan.

Ford already can't sell F150's because they decided to bump up the MSRP by so much due to greed. Their margins are inflated on it. They would have made way more profit by keeping the price lower and moving more units.

I know that Rangers and Broncos are built here in the US at MAP, but a large portion of US built vehicles use a large percentage of imported parts. While US built vehicles won’t see large tariffs, I still think we’ll see prices continue to increase and tariffs will be mostly to blame.

I don't want to get into a tariffs discussion, but "built in Michigan" doesn't mean that every component was built there. Some vehicles cross borders multiple times in the process of being built, and even more if you consider the separate build process of components.

Bottom line: it's complicated.
