2025 Ranger - Bed 12 Volt Outlet - Final Update

this is truck side plug, and the power panel. the 12v + & - are in the truck side harness. but clearly missing from panel side. I could order the panel. but the price has jumped(like the lariat upper glove box) or order the pins and add my own, I think I may use some of my tax return to get the panel. tax return was always my play money to get things I wanted. lol

I ran a fused wire and ground to the battery that came with the dome light wiring for my Westin Automotive cap. Since the wiring was already there, I spliced that wiring into the two outlets shown. I had hole saws for 1" and 1-1/8" openings. Amazon has whatever configuration you want. I got 60W USB-C so I could power a Starlink roam if needed.

So even the Westin needs you to run wiring to the battery rather than tapping off a downstream harness or the taillight? I was looking at those caps and liked them. Also thinking about running 12v to the blank panel on my STX.

So I finally got my brand new 2025 Ranger XLT. After examining several threads and finally seeing the harness on the truck, there IS no change to the wiring harness to the bed power outlets.

I purchased a 2024 panel - the part number superseded to N1WZ-19A464-CC. It was about $100.

I unplugged the old one, pulled out the two christmas tree supports off the old one, put the new one in, I have 120VAC and 12VDC in my bed. No FORSCAN, no wiring, nothing. Push, pull, click, click.

Part arrived, fit great and it works. I'm surprised an OEM plug-and-play part was so cheap. Only trouble I had was getting the connectors apart. After looking at the new male connector, I could see where the main female plug clip secured. Used a small flat head screwdriver in the slot surrounding the main internal plug clip (after sliding back the red rear female clip) and she came apart easy. Everything went back together fine. Total time was under ten minutes for remove and reinstall.

Where was this last post with part number yesterday when I ordered my overpriced Scanstrut 12v outlet! Oh well... still cheaper I suppose, and I already have the terminals for the connector

But I thought the br suffix was the correct part. I hope you guys be right! I want to see a picture when you get it.

But I do find the ford part searches to be very frustrating.

Don't worry, the Scanstrut is a superior 12 volt socket. Mine works perfectly and the door locks open or can be used as a plug retainer. Best 12 volt socket I've used, you can tell right away by the feel.
