Bought brand new Ranger Raptor and when i got it home noticed the back window doesn’t slide open. Took it back to the dealership and they trouble shot it and said it was either something behind the fuse box or the back window had to be replaced. Have anyone else had any issues with the back window not working?

The biggest problem with mine was finding the switch after having the truck for a couple weeks!

I have only used it a few times, but each time it's been flawless.

Mine worked fine the day I brought my truck home. Haven't used it since, just like with my last 3 trucks. Even back when sliders were manual, I never had occasion to want the back window to open. Not passing judgement, that's just me.

The first truck I bought with a power back window, we were in the truck figuring out all the stuff and found the rear window switch. "Wonder what this is for?" Hit the switch and hear the strangest ripping sound behind us. Look back and see that the rear slider had torn off the temp registration sticker... To this day we call that button the automatic temp tag remover...

I don’t really use the slider much, but every time that I’ve used it, it works without any problems.

What kind of troubleshooting is that? 🤣 Is the motor getting power? Why would the glass need to be replaced?

There are other trucks where the motor assembly is integral to the glass and it's replaced as a unit. Not sure for the Ranger but possible.

Yes the motor is integral to the glass. I took it to the dealership and they trouble shot the easy stuff like, is it stuck, is the motor getting power, the switch getting power etc. neither are getting power so, they are planning to take the fuse box out and start from there.

For sure - I forgot even was even a feature and I did find it but never use it.

I use the hell out of the power slider. Never given an ounce of issues. That’s the 1st thing I open every time I get in it during summer. Always have on anything that I’ve owned with a power slider. So much so that, that’s the one feature I think Ford missed….a warning chime that’s it open at shutdown. With a canopy it can be easy to forget it’s open once home in the driveway (everything’s so dark in the rear with the canopy). Then it drizzles overnight. Used to do it every once in a while in my previous F-150. Personally I love the slider!

I haven't had an issue in 5400 miles. You can get real nice air circulation when the back window and one front window are open part way. Also, my dog likes sticking her nose out the back window when I open it.
