I have never had any steering components apart, what kind of a job is it to install those Foutz sleeves? Look a lot more compact than the broncbuster thing, the "busterbrace."

I'd like to be able to answer this @rocsteady, but I haven't gotten to installing mine. I'm not anticipating any drama though.

Quite curious about this also. I off road pretty hard and broke a front axle already. Tie rod probably might bite the dust with another oppsie.

Tie rod should be a fusible link and I highly recommend keeping a spare on you plus the tools to swap.

I do.

Happen to have that parts/tools list handy so I can check against my "tool burrito" I have in the truck and add to it as necessary?

Mine was a kit from my previous Bronco. The RR is a little wider (more threads), but a Bronco tie rod will work still in an emergency. So for now, my kit just has a OEM Bronco tie rod in it.

Apex advertises that theirs fit both the Bronco and RR:
Ford Bronco Heavy Duty Tie Rod Kit - Apex Chassis

My kit is just a tool roll with a hammer, pry bar, appropriate socket, c clip pliers, adjustable wrench, the tie rod itself, etc. Basically everything you need to swap an inner and/ or outer tie rod on the trail.

Putting my APEX Chassis tie rods in today, along with some new Fox UCAs. Will share photos later.

Do have any rub issues with the apex tie rods? What rim setup are you running? The Apex tie rods scuffed the rim at full lock on mine. RTR 17x9(+30mm). They hit the weights used to balance the tire first. So, I had them tires rebalanced but the shop couldn't find the sweet spot for a dynamic balance, without the tie end rods wiping the weights out..

Thanks, once I upgrade mine, I'm going APEX, don't want to have to constantly lube the HEIM joints and the APEX is the first one I've seen that ZERK with a boot, depending on if I can figure out if they will clear the method 705's.

Did you have clip on or stick on weights? Are the apex tie rods just that much more beefy they hit the rim? i also have the rtr +30's and this is giving me pause to upgrade to apex tie rods. kind of disappointing. I'm going to check maybe tomorrow with wheels at full lock how much clearance there is to the stock rods...

Also I live in a snowy, salty climate and want nothing to do with heim joint rods/suspension parts, so the apex seemed great....

**EDIT**
was taking a look at their site again, Did you perhaps install the rods reversed?? they are side specific with a curved section, im assuming for clearance (curved away from the rim?) if you had them on the wrong side, they'd curve forward into the rim? Does that make sense? logo on the rod should be facing forward right side up. Im trying to visualize it without being under my truck. i dunno maybe im wrong. The image they supply below says "top view" but its really a view looking up/ bottom view.
