Just an FYI, this could be coming your way depending on the particular VIN.

Ford Recalls 179,000-Plus Broncos, Rangers for Front-Seat Issue

Ford’s latest recall affects some 179,700 examples of its Ranger pickup truck and Bronco SUV and involves an issue with the front seats.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2024-26 Rangers and Broncos. The seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt may be loose or dislodged and may not properly restrain an occupant in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect and replace the pivot links and bolts, as necessary, for free. Interim letters notifying owners of the issue are expected to be mailed May 11; additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available, which Ford expects will be in July. Those with further questions can contact the automaker at 866-436-7332 (Ford’s number for this recall is 26S30), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.

Hmmm, my front passenger seat squeaks when it is at the middle of its forward travel, with nobody in it, I wonder if this is the cause. It is quiet when run all the way back. I haven’t seen any notification yet….

This is my first Ford. I can't believe how many recalls there are on these things. And I say this as someone who has owned 5 Wranglers!

I ran my vin using the link in Lion77's orignal post it and says that I am under this seat pivot bolt one. Curiously it also says that the sun visor wire recall is still open although I had that done a while back.

Driving from Illinois to Tennessee, I heard a woman on the radio say something I wish Ford would have heard. She said, "I'm getting rid of my Bronco, too many recalls. It's starting to scare me".

"Ford Ranger stop-sale in the US, no impact for AustraliaFord has issued stop-sale orders and recalls for 2024–2026 Ford Ranger trucks due to serious safety issues. Key recalls include over 100,000 units for side curtain airbag failures (25C41/25V541) and over 140,000 units for fire risks linked to wiring faults in the A-pillar (26Sxx). Owners are advised to park outside and contact a dealer"
I read this on the Australian forum... it is for the US does not affect them. If it starts a fire, I would rather not burn my house down... do what you will.

I have been reading the nhtsa reports and these recalls do not scare me in the least in fact they reassure me.

they seem very proactive in addressing issues. The side airbag recall was interesting because technically ford passed the test but just barely. I read the test report.

this bolt recall is interesting, ford was able to trace this back to the seat vendor doing a torque test before the thread lock cured.

It's interesting that my driver's seat clunks forward and back under acceleration and braking, but I am not under the recall.

Ford contacted me last week and sent a tech to my place of business and he did the work right there. He checked both seats and the bolts were fine, nothing additional needed. About the most painless recall I’ve ever had to deal with.

I have an Ranger Raptor on order, however I think I prefer a company being proactive, than just sitting back and not doing anything. My Rubicon has had a ton of issues come up, however Jeep never addresses them. Oil leak from the oil cooler, Rubicon shocks constantly leaking, steering wheel play, just to name some ( I get they have done a couple of fixes for steering, but it always feels worse then my JK). I know the shocks were replaced 3 times under warranty however, for a top of the line model they should have better quality shocks.
