Fordpass Climate Control

It only shows when the truck is remote started. Not sure if you had your truck on or not when you looked at the app.

That's it! I just tried it. Start vehicle then touch the fan icon, it brings up the climate control and the heated seats.

One thing on mine, it has started to turn on the driver's heated seat since the weather has cooled off, but it's not that cold, still in the upper 50's and low 60's. I wonder if it does that according to where you have the ACC set? Will have to research that more.

FWIW I did go to the Google Play store last night and it said there was an update available for my Ford Pass App which I did.

And I do have automatic software updates turned on. Hmm.....

I think automatic updates are for the vehicle only. You have to update the App in your phone.

RR shows in the app here--even in Shelter Green.

The odd thing I have seen a few times it the vehicle is on when it's not and parked in the garage.

Oh my gosh I would love to be able to control the hvac!! Having come from Subaru for the past few years I have missed that convenience. I checked the Play store and no update available, hopefully it hits soon!

Well, the feature has now magically appeared when I remote start now. The Ford app nor the truck (OTA) did any update. So, Ford is pushing software modifications without making users aware. Meaning, Ford is turning stuff on/off via backend server.

I see an update available for Ford app so before I took the update I wanted to see weather it had climate control. That way I would know if the latest app update is the cause for the new climate feature.
Started the truck via old version Ford app and it already has the climate control. So latest app update is not the reason.

I now have this feature, as well. 25 RR. The climate settings pop up automatically after I remote start from the phone.

Someone on my Facebook group reported having climate control settings during remote start from the Ford app. They mentioned that they saw it after doing the OTA brake recall update. They are using android. I sure don't have it. I'm curious if anyone else does or knows the circumstances around climate control on the app.

IIRC, the auto heated seat feature depends on two things.
It has to be enabled in the vehicle settings to be turned on during remote or scheduled start.
It's based on outside temperature, seems to come on when below 60F.

Yeah, I checked mine and nothing. XLT. Same as OP. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled just to test and still nothing. I hope we get those settings. As I would love to adjust the temp, heated seats.
