This is the same thing that killed the Retro Thunderbird.
Over price them, don't sell them, they go away for lack of sales.

Looks like someone enter a 9 instead of a 6, might just be an error. Then again, It's California where people have more money than sense.

"California Special Edition" with mandated electric hybrid power, green recycled fabric seats,🤢 and dashboard is autographed by Gavin Newsom. 🤮You pay the tax , and a teenage kid will wash it for you on delivery for minimum wage of $50 per hour. :sunglasses:

If you do a search on cars.com and sort by most $$ to least $$ and have it search the whole country you’ll see this is not uncommon in certain areas in the west and particularly in Florida. Some folks might pay it.

Just wanted to say that I grew up in Fair Oaks - the end of Chicago Ave!

Also, strange that they have that same RR with a corrected price, but with the last two digits of the VIN reversed....

I think they corrected the error.

Cheers! I just found a few weeks ago, Prairie City ? Ever been? Cool little off-road area to stretch out the legs of the RR. Was a blast to take in Baja mode.

I just got my 24 Ranger Raptor serviced at Future Ford in Roseville. And they have a 26 model, looks like nothing special. And they are asking $30k over. How is this even possible?

It's hard to imagine what Future Ford is up to with this published add to MSRP. However, about this time last year they had a new ranger raptor advertised the same and I wound up buying it for about $1K under MSRP. Go figure.

I purchased mine from a dealer across town. They had a 2025 on the showroom floor since early December with a MSRP of 71k. This truck had the upgraded rims, wheels, and graphic package. Pretty much every upgrade except the keyless entry.

One of the internet sales members who we bought our Explorer from at this dealer told me that a 2026 was in transit that may be worth checking out. Sure enough, the in-transit price was Ford's MSRP of 59,xxx. Cool, that is what we talk about until hit lands in Richmond at the rail yard. The dealer jacks up the price to 61k. As the truck makes its way to the actual dealer the price is now the same 71k as the one parked on the showroom floor. Who would have thought.

Long story short I reached out, said I was interested (this is mid March) in the one in transit but not paying that markup, and he said give him a price. Sure - 500 below Ford's MSRP to which he said they may not go for it, but he will check. Called me back and said yes, if I could come in today the truck was mine at that price.

Basically this dealer does the ADM game but that is what they are asking. Doesn't mean it will sale so make the offer. Funny thing is that the finance guy thought I was buying the one that has been sitting on the showroom floor for months. Surprised they sold me the one that just landed.

But yeah - welcome to California. Probably has more to do with impulse buyers and youth than income but that is just my take.
