Maverick Headrests to Solve The Ranger's "Tilt Too Far Forward" Problem

The headrests were fixed and didn't tilt on my '23 Maverick XLT.

so it is my understanding that certain trims of the maverick will tilt.

also i saw this post. where a Lincoln headrest was used on a maverick.

I posted more about this on the other thread here, but there are no Maverick headrests with tilt that I could find. Only leather. I ended up going the mustang route and don't regret it at all.

According to the OP these are not tilting headrests at all, but they don't have as much of a fixed forward tilt angle as our Ranger ones do.

That's in part what led me to explore other options; also, I couldn't find an adjustable Mustang headrest that I knew would fit the Ranger.

I'd love to see pictures after @MK8.5 Golf R bends the posts of his Ranger's headrests. I was fairly certain I would screw that up.

I applied the bending maneuver to the driver side and did not mess with the passenger, here are a couple of pics.

Check the other thread for a pic, but the mustang headrests I ended up with (a mixed cloth & leather style) are near vertical and are very soft and plushy. Huge improvement in both my wife and I's opinions. Not sure if the leather mustang headrests are harder maybe, but I don't agree with them not being an improvement at all.

Artvarck if I see you are also in Colorado if you are interested in trying my spare mustang one or buying it if it ends up working for you. It didn't solve the problem for me but everyone's body is different I guess.

Also love the MK8.5 Golf R name, I had a MK7 GTI that I absolutely loved. I'm also interested in bending mine, I see videos of people using a carjack or two couches it seems like a lot of effort. I like the easier approach of the trailer hitch method you mentioned.

The Maverick headrests are also fixed, and I am not sure of the part number; the description of the eBay auction was "22-25 Ford Maverick XL Front Seat Headrest Left or Right Side Black Cloth OEM." A friend has a '22 Maverick from which I had tested the fit in the Ranger before ordering.

My 2023 Lariat Maverick headrests tilt....they are not fixed.
