I have a '24 XLT and as I've posted numerous times, I HATE the seats. Some people seem ok with them, but they are very umcortable for me and my frame.

So I went to my local dealer to try a '25 Lariat (with the 2.7) and an F150 Lariat.

The Ranger Lariat seats, while leather, are almost the same. The seat back was noticeably more comfortable for me, the seat bottom still had that narrow hole between the side cushions and a weird angle, even with the adjustments (my XLT also has the power seats).

But that 2.7 liter engine is nice - it has a little more pop obviously and has better sound. But I ain't buying it since the seats feel about the same.

The F150 was certainly very nice, but that was just for grins. I don't want that big of a truck.

They have a Ranger Raptor that will be ready to test tomorrow. I have an appointment at noon. If it doesn't sell before I get there, could be trouble for my finances. :)

The Raptor seating is very comfortable. A bit better than the Lariat. For me the price difference between the Lariat and the Raptor made it a no brainier to get the Raptor. Plus the smile it I get when my right foot gets a little heavy.

It took about 2 minutes before I noticed my seat was uncomfortable compared to the tester. Bring a seat pillow because it significantly improves long range driving.

I test drove both a Ranger Lariat FX4 and Ranger Raptor about a month ago and really couldn't tell a difference in the seats, other than color stitching - I though the comfort was the same. I ended up getting the Lariat, and it was very comfortable for the 10 hour round trip to my FIL's last week, I think more so than my previous 2017 F150 Lariat.

Recaro pole position seats or similar? Expensive but maybe not as much as being uncomfortable in a moving vehicle or after.

i drove a ranger lariat and a ranger raptor back to back saturday. i really liked the seats in both but the raptor seats were even more comfortable and enjoyable to me.

i have no issues with my xl seats though. i am lucky and never have seat issues in vehicles. because my build and size everything fits me

Not sure if it's the same for other trims, but the seat material quality in the Raptor is pretty terrible. Longevity is a real concern of mine. They're definitely more comfortable, but the skins. Woof. Ford tells me it is normal for it look like it's got 100k miles at 1k miles...

Ya I haven't been happy will my front seat. Only 3k miles so far and the bottom side bolster is looking like bacon all wrinkly. Im a small guy and always make sure to not rub the bolsters getting in. But it's more of just sitting in the seat that's the wear issue.

Interesting thoughts on the Ranger Raptor seats. This was also my concern - long term wear and tear.

They are comfortable. Very. In fact I feel they gave me better support than my Mustangs Recaro's. Not the same I know but I got tired in those during long trips. I can't see that happening in the Raptors although I have not made the same road trip yet.

Would covers here help at all or is this just an issue of the surface material Ford used. Wondering if the protection plans helps with seats - never bothered to ask that...

I guess we are all different, but I'm 5'11" and 190 lbs and just went on a 900 mile 2 day trip in my 2025 XLT FX4 with the 2.7L. I find the seats to be perfectly fine.

Hopefully you can grab that RR if you like it better!

I've had my Raptor for a year and have 3K miles on it. My seats look great, very comfortable other than not being cooled.
I am weight 145 and 5' 5". I think body weight has something to do with the seat issues. The thinner leather Ford uses for the Raptor seats is not as resilient as the leather in my 2010 Escape. I do not expect them to hold up well over time. I am considering upgrading to the Katzkin ventilated upholstery.
