Depends. Use truck for work, lot of highway miles, mostly eco on flat roads. Sport mode for mountain roads as eco going downhill always wants 10th gear and sport mode helps with some engine break so I don't ride the breaks, only to feel like a runaway truck.

Slippery mode for snow/Icey roads - 4x4 high and keep my distance as the front end ends up iced or backsplash blocks the sensors and crash avoidance errors out. Better to arrive alive.

Are there any actual descriptions of what each mode does for each component for the selectable features on the Raptor? I assume for example the exhaust is purely noise level, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case and it could also do other things.

"Normal "99% of the time with 1% "Slippery 4x4 " in the winter snow.
I tried "ECO "once on a long trip and it is way too sluggish on hills and if I need to speed up in traffic there is a long delay in throttle response. ( Never again!)
"SPORT" is just insanely responsive ,so much that I find myself tailgating and running up on other cars in city traffic. :explode:

RAPTOR MODE: sport on the mode, comfort on the steering, offroad suspension, TC off. Great for casual driving imo

My truck is 99% of the time in straight up Normal. Sometimes on longer trips, I'll set the exhaust to Quiet (just because I'm not feeling the constant drone). And I have flipped it to Baja while not off roading. GASP. I know. 🤣

That is all before the tune gets applied later this week. Sooo... will that be the same afterwards? 🤷‍♂️

XLT 2.7 FX4 I was using sport because the shifting both up and down felt better, and it doesn't skip 2nd in Sport, but I don't always remember to put it in Sport. Today I forgot and I had slowed at an intersection then accelerated but not hard and I got a hard bump shift that hasn't happened before. That prompted me to put the gear display on and to my surprise at the next light it didn't skip 2nd!

Once I set up Forscan I wonder if there is a way to have the gear display always there by default. I also wonder if there is a way to have a certain drive mode as your default?

In town, 2H Sport. On the highway, 2H Normal.

Beyond that it's very situational.

2025 Lariat 2.7.

90% of the time “Normal”, Hills, and Windy Roads “Sport”. Very good at higher RPMs and lower gears. Also Normal 4H for gravel roads.

What mode do you daily drive in?

Raptor:
Im in normal exhaust, engine, and suspension, with comfort steering, Auto start/Stop off.
For me and my style of driving it's in normal. I actually loose gas mileage in ECO. In real world testing ECO mode has very little purpose and gas mileage savings. It was supposedly primarily designed for heavy stop and go driving, think bumper to bumper type. Then it might actually show a difference. After driving for so many years I have my own pretty efficient ECO mode built in by varying the lead in the foot!

My truck has the FP tune, so normal driving it is in Normal mode with comfort steering and auto start/stop turned off. When I'm having fun or driving more spirited it's sport mode with comfort steering, Baja exhaust, normal suspension (unless it's a twisty back road and ill go to sport suspension, it'd be a bit silly to drive around like that all the time when you have softer option imo).
