Be nice to sticky this and get the results long term

I use Petrocan 94 (Only 94 available in the Yukon) and drop down to 91 if not available. Something to be aware of for Canadian drivers is that Ethanol content in all Canadian fuel changes from 10% in the summer to 7.5% between September-March to aid with cold weather starting.

According to this Channel, as of 2023 here's Canada's fuel rankings from best to worst:

1. Shell V-Power 93
2. Husky 94
3. PetroCan 94
4. Chevron 94
5. Esso/Mobil 93
6. Chevron 91
7. Shell 91
8. Costco 91

I'd use 93, but not available in our town, so I use 91. Ive used 93 a couple times when out of town and it was wild that it improved its performance as much as it did. Much more take off, etc.

But im using the best I have access to.

Also only have access to 91 unless I'm in Tulsa there are 93 pumps there.

This poll won’t mean anything because the available octane varies with altitude and geographical location. I use Maverik 91 ethanol free, the highest grade around here, when I am near a station. The truck just feels better and the extra 20 cents per gallon (compared to 91 10% ethanol) is made up by slightly better mpgs. Plus the Maverik blue pump handle matches the truck paint color Generic pic attached….

FYI you need a full tank of the alcohol free gas to feel the difference, topping up a half full tank of normal gas won’t show much improvement…

When on road trips I use any MID grade.

93 is harder to come by where I am. Usually 91 Ethanol Free. If available I'll use 93 with Ethanol.

WI sucks for Premium over the last year. Often times it is $1.20 more than 87. Costco is the most reliable around me for decent priced Premium.

I’m jealous other people have 91 ethanol free at least. Where I am I can get 91 but the best ethanol free is 87.
I love the mountains but dang the fuel is less than desired.

I love it John Davies gas is $2.99/gal, he lives 250 miles east of me we are $4.69/gal I’m 60 miles from Cherry point refinery. Washington state sucks!

I'm stuck like most people with 91+ only on the westcoast. I've also added the sticker on the fuel door for 91+ only. https://ford.oempartsonline.com/oem-parts/ford-fuel-label-fu5z9a095c

That being said, I know it's also controversial, but if you talk to most turbo ecoboost tuners, ethanol gas is preferred. No need to avoid it even in stock form, ethanol free will perform worse across the board. Same story for my 2.3 ecoboost RS.
