Below is the switch panel I have on order with Pirate Camp CO:

https://piratecampco.com.au/collections/electrical/products/sc-001

This should fit our North American XL and XLT. They offer another model for the Raptor and should fit North American Lariat and Raptors with the 12" screen.

They use the Toyota Short Switch format cutouts. I have on order from REDARC their switch insert for the same cutout:

https://www.redarcelectronics.com/us/switch-insert-to-suit-toyota-mitsubishi

I will admit I am buying this switch panel at risk assuming it will fit.
Did you ever get this installed?

How did it end up fitting for you?

Do you like it?

It looks great from the pictures, and I would like something like this myself if it works on US spec rangers too.

This went on the back burner. I have everything, just need to set aside the time for it. Did a rough fit of the switch panel and do not see anything keeping it from snapping in as advertised.

Have you looked at the frontiers? I had a '19 Tacoma. Eninge was wheezy, only a 6 spd trans trans and a complsite bed. Also, only a C type frame, Not fully boxed. Frontier was a Good truck, I had a '22 though a bit on the heavy side, Cast iron spindles, and that's a big piece! But Eninge was great, fully boxed frame, and 8 spd trans. Current Taco is a disgrace IMHO. Let us know what you get! ?
I found a new 24 SV king cab Frontier in Boise w towing pkg, tech (didn't really want that), & Rinoliner bedliner for $33.3K OTD. Picked it up 3 weeks ago. Too many bells & alarms for my taste, but otherwise, seems fine

I found a new Frontier king 4wd SV w tow pkg & Rhinoliner in Boise for $33.3K OTD. Had miles to fly, & had a good drive back to Helena, except for dark blizzard through Payette canyon. Truck has tech pkg w many alarms, but seems good otherwise. Not as tall as 24 Ranger, fits in my garage.

Hi Everyone, thanks for all of the work on researching this topic. I've just installed a Redarc Liberty controller using the findings in this post. I purchased the Redarc controller with the Bronco specific harness. Attached the controller to a wooden block and to an existing steel bracket next to the driver side fuse box. The rotary dial for the brake controller was installed in the factory location. Attached are some pics for my install. The last photo shows a light bulb being hooked up to 'brake signal' wire of the 7-pin connector (one wire on the brake signal pin and one wire to the 'negative' pin). Changing the setting on the Redarc knob, changes the brightness of the bulb.

Nice. As far as i know, you'll be among the first to get this installed. I'm gonna put one in once i get a chance. Which RedArc model did you go with? got a link?

So, I tried this, and the plug they sent me in the package said "TPH-007" and all the instructions said model years only up to 2018, so I think they sent me the wrong one. Can you look at your package and see what they sent you? The wiring looks exactly right (pin placement looks right), but the harness does not fit.

I'm half tempted to pry the harness apart and make it work, but wanted to see if you could confirm if your packaging was the same or if etrailer sent me the wrong one. Otherwise I may chat with etrailer and see what they say. Since I have a Ranger, they may question why I ordered a bronco one...

@chino101 , well I called etrailer and they told me it is the right one for a Bronco. I didn't push on to discussing the fact that this is a Ranger yet, so I am puzzled at how your harness worked and mine didn't. surely the Lariat doesn't have a different harness....

Ok, I'm a blooming idiot.....I didn't know the factory harness had a "dongle" attached. See photo. after staring at the pictures I saw there was a little tab on it, so ran back to the truck and voila, this stupid thing came off....

Awesome! Glad you saw that. I called it a "protective cap" in my post. And I also tried to plug my TPH-007 adapter into that dongle until I looked closer. Hope you get your controller up and running.

Major thanks to all the contributors to this thread and the write-up. I also installed the Redarc kit from eTrailer.
Sharing a few tips/details I learned along the way:
-When you remove the dash bezel, the pliable material that covers the top of steering column comes off with it (snaps to the steering column).
-The trailer connector can be hard to see as it may be tucked behind the main harness.
-It's tricky to find a good location for the Redarc box as it needs to be rigidly mounted. I concur the location and method chino101 mentioned as pretty much ideal.
-The wood block I used was approx 2.5"x3.25"x.75". I used two 1/4" by 1-1/4" carriage bolts (countersunk) for mounting (if I was doing it again, I'd look for elevator bolts). Suggest mounting as far forward as possible to maintain clearance for the lower steering column trim when it's in a fully inward and lowered position.
-I found it helpful to use the bezel for the Redarc knob as a locating template for drilling the large and small holes.

Overall, it appears to work and I plan to test it with a trailer this weekend. Really like the clean, simple and functional look once installed.
