I did not know you can adjust the DRL brightness in forscan. i was worried they wouldn't be as nice and bright as stock.
I tried with OEM drl and no difference. I would like someone to try with the amber tho.

Got mine today and gave it a go, flexible extension is a must have, that is where everything turned tragic, dropped 2 of the 3 screws trying to put them back in (only found one of them) and pulled a bit too hard on the connector for the original board for the driver side... whoops. They do look amazing though cant wait to get the other side installed.

Don't feel bad about the connector I trashed my 1st one on the passenger's side. Drivers side is maybe tonight. I wish there was a clear video of how to safely remove the oem male plug from the oem drl so I grab it n the correct spot!

I think you would need to create a video in x-ray format like a Mortal Kombat fatality to film it. There just isn't any room.

The only other way would be to do it with the headlight fully removed.

The best advice I can give is you just have to apply pressure on the wide side of the connector and wiggle it free. I assumed the pressure needed to be applied on the skinny edge of the connector and that is why I tore my first one off the board.

Use a metal shop pick and gently push in the though the two small squares. That will release the two tabs on the male. Worked and was easy.
Look closely at the new amber female and you’ll see the two square holes I’m talking about.

Can you be more specific?

Look at the female receiver and you will see two small SQUARE holes. That is where the tabs on the male harness will set. Gently push the tabs through the holes to release the tabs and the two parts will separate.

Sorry, I’m a little dense today. You mean these square holes?

That experience makes me want to pass. However, I really want that look!
Agreed , mine was a pita. And I need to replace a plug now plus it doesn't work.

I recently bought and installed mine as I couldn’t resist the look. Im glad I did but it was a chore.
I removed the wheel, wheel liners and horn which provided decent access. Must have the proper tools as described by others on the forum. Took my time (took me over 7 hours for the two) and got it done.

I did all the above but only got the pass side so far as I had heard it was the harder of the 2. I was po'd about that clip I set the driver side off for a few days .

Pass side twice as difficult. Glad I started there.
