It's a can and some hose. You could make one for very little money or buy one. No advantage to any of them, imo. They are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced no matter who you buy them from. If Ford thought it a necessary item, I suspect it would be on the truck from new.

I like that its factory, and listed as a non-emissions piece, so probably California CARB safe.

That price is a killer though...

Saw this too... Fits 2024, 2025 (built before 1/20/2025) Ranger Raptor, does that mean built after 1-20-25 come equipped with them? Think not..

I went with the J&L. Reasonably priced and super easy to install. Not sure if they really help but I do get a fair amount of brown gas smelling sludge in it every couple thousand miles.

What’s strange is that it doesn’t work for models after January 2025. It all seems to be the same.

It's a very expensive part, but the fact that it's OEM Ford is a huge plus. Shouldn't have any warranty concerns.

Doesn't this pretty well open up the door to no warranty issues if you go with another companies air/oil separator aka catch can?

I mean it's not like there's a whole lot of magic here and they're all doing the same thing and going about it the same way so it'd be a pretty tough argument to make if Ford tried voiding a warranty claim because you used an aftermarket catch can aka air/oil separator.

Wondering what the change was, only fits 25 model yr built before 1/20/2025. Mine was built in late Feb.

I think there’s a distinction between what’s necessary and what’s helpful (helpful with regards to performance, efficiency, aesthetics, reliability, or durability whatever). Not being necessary, in my opinion, doesn’t mean that it isn’t good to have.

Put a J&L on my 2.7L. Some brown gunk after 1800 miles. $169.00. Went on in about 10 minutes. J&L makes them for the RR 3.0L and 2.3L.

The 1975 Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act protects consumers. Manufacturers must prove the after market part caused the under warranty issue.

This looks like a dual can version of the FP one I ran on my F150. If it is, they are very shallow cans. Between that and the very fine mesh, mine would be prone to freezing over extended cold snaps. Ultimately I opted to remove mine each winter.

I have had no such issue with my UPR single can on my RR. Good distance between filter screen and bottom of can.

Exactly! Seems many people are not aware of this.

Ignorant question, does the 2.7/3.0 engines need this if they are dual port injection?
