You were on F150gen14 weren’t you?Ah ok. ECG is the GWM, so that had nothing to do with your tune.
I still am very active on there. I remember your forum name....... seems very familiar. You were on F150gen14 weren’t you?
I had a few 2022 F150’s. I’m also the one that upgraded my lariat mid to a lariat high if you remember that a few years ago. I haven’t had an F150 since December of 24 thoufhI still am very active on there. I remember your forum name....... seems very familiar.
No one will believe youRepeat from Ford the tune has not been not will it be updated....
That's crazy to me. There have been several recalls for different vehicles that require the PCM software to be updated. So if a PCM update gets released to address a problem, whoever bought one of these tuners now owns a ProCal paperweight?Repeat from Ford the tune has not been not will it be updated....
You probably just reload your cal from the tuner device. That's crazy to me. There have been several recalls for different vehicles that require the PCM software to be updated. So if a PCM update gets released to address a problem, whoever bought one of these tuners now owns a ProCal paperweight?
I'm not calling you out.....I believe this is the case. I just don't see how this will be sustainable long term.
Right, but by reloading the tune, you are literally rolling back the PCM to the older strategy/calibration that does not include whatever fix would be included in the newer PCM firmware. You probably just reload your cal from the tuner device.
BTW, I read somewhere that updates, if any, are updates to the tuner device itself, not to the tune cal data.

I 100% agree with this, but this is my concern to begin with. If Ford Performance says they have no plans of ever updating the tune, how is anyone with one of these tunes going to be able to do this?IF there is an update to the calibration itself, you would need to update the programmer, load the new cal from their server, then flash the truck.
This is with a Ford Performance tune or a a third party tuner? For me,
I loaded the stock tune back to the truck.
Then updated the tuner.
It wiped the FP tune from the programmer.
I went back to my FP account and reloaded the updated FP tune back to the programmer.
My account had no credits used and 1 available. The certificate I used the first time was still in there and I didn't have to re-Input it.
Rugedraw knows a lot about ford trucks. He has helped me before with a 2021 F150.
