Also, where do the harness mount brackets clip in under the truck? I cannot find empty holes to push them into.

And the truck harness doesnt reach the plug for the power assy. I will have to do some adjusting to its mounts. I think the issue i have is the tow package harness on the bumper has everything mounted towards it so the harness is clipped that way

Update… rcvd my power panel. @PMK was correct…. Complete assembly arrived as expected.
Edit… less than 5 minute install..

OK, now after some time, I picked up my 2026 XLT today. It's a FX4 with the tow pkg. It has a fully blank panel in the bed. If I read all this correct, the harness is back there, just order the above full panel and it's a "plug and go"?

My first post in a Ranger forum with the new truck! (Well at least since my college ranger 20-something years ago lol)

Do you have a harness under the driver rear of your truck that looks like the one in Post #70 ?

If you have that orange-jacketed harness then yes. But I would wonder if a truck without the 120v even has the harness? Can't tell you, but it is easy enough to take a look

I’m guessing you don’t have the inverter under the driver seat. It would be interesting to know if you have the wiring in the cable or as stated any cable at all.

OK, now I understand why someone was posting about having an A/C plug....that was confusing me since I thought the whole thing was about adding an A/C plug lol....

I only have carpet to the left of my floor vents, no inverter. I just showered, my shop is filthy, and it's still hot out there. I'll check for the orange harness tomorrow but it's not looking good!

Hello all, been following this thread with interest.

I have a 25 XLT FX4. I have the advanced tow package and the 120 volt AC outlet on the driver side of the bed. I also have the bed lights on either side which run when I press the button to the left of the steering wheel. When I took a peek behind my AC panel, I expected to find the wiring harness somewhere close to it. Instead the power cord snakes down and connects to a harness that is essentially behind the driver side rear wheel well. Yet, when I look at the images some have posted of the 2024 panel (e.g., post number 59), the power cord in the orange tubing does not appear long enough to snake down from the panel to the driver side rear wheel area. Is this just a perspective thing? Does the 2024 panel with the 120 and 12 volt sockets have a power cord long enough to meet the connector near the wheel?

Mine has no inverter so i geuss i have to run a wire from the battery to the panel for power.

@superj When was your Ranger built? Mine was Oct 2025. I wonder if they changed the wire mounting locations when they dropped the 12 volt socket.

I wonder if we could splice into the 12 volt cargo bed light?

Mine is a late 24 build. It has the bed brackets so that late of a 24.

@saxdogg Yes. Mine reads "Date 10/25" so I am assuming that is the build month and year.

My 12 volt outlet has been hard at work. Drove down to Puerto Lobos, Mexico with 16 large burritos, all the sauces and pico, a 12" chicken pie and some cheese, kept it all at 34F all day.

On the return trip I brought back 6 dozen frozen tamales and 2 kilos of frozen shrimp, kept it all at -2F the whole day. Yesterday I drove 45 min for takeout Chinese with my new Redi-Heat food transport bag, kept the food hot all the way back home.

Interrupting the power for fuel stops and one restaurant stop didn't affect it at all, temp stayed steady.

For those of us who may have nothing (MY 25+ without convenience pkg), I'm going to assume there's no aftermarket solution premade for that panel space. Would have to fab something up ourselves?

It's the single best improvement I've made, I'll never understand why they discontinued it.
