From the Internet so take it as it is...

As a result of the investigation, Ford is recalling 140,201 units of the Ranger pickup. This covers model years 2024-2026, affecting trucks built between December 9, 2022, through December 28, 2025.

Mine built 1/24/26 🤞

I have a Ranger on order with a build date in late May. Does Ford normally fix issues on the line first when there's a recall? Or is it possible to have this recall when I take delivery?
If the problem is known, they should correct it on the line. If not, they are not allowed to sell a vehicle with an open recall, or so I've heard

My understanding is this is similar to the rear camera issue with the Maverick last year. Dealers cannot sell any ranger without this resolved, and cannot even allow an unfixed ranger to be test driven. Very unfortunate since the fix is a few months off. Since updated bcm software is part of the fix, it may be a while before rangers coming off the production line are not subject to this hold

Usually final dealer prep handles all outstanding recalls just before you get it

Mine has a build date of 3/31/25 and it's on the list! More fun to come . . .

Got my notification for this on my truck too. Sounds a bit ridiculous and I won't be taking my truck in for this. I skipped the one for the airbag clip recall or whatever that could cut into the side curtain airbag upon deployment. I'll take my chances. Not having them take all those interior pieces apart and hope they put it back together correctly again.
Dealer did mine right after the airbag recall. They were careful and repair and replacement was fine.

Mine is at dealer for side air bag shield and trailer update.
They didn't show the wiring harness yet in recall.
Does the headliner need to be dropped of both B pillar and A pillar recalls?

I don't even have mirrors and I have the recall. I think it's more the wiring going to the overhead lights through the A pillar.
I didn’t check the 24’s, but the part number for the windshield header harness on the 25MY is the same regardless of VIN (so, regardless of mirror lights or not), so I would think you are correct. I’d be surprised if the 24’s are any different.

my dealer keeps asking me when I'm going to schedule my airbag recall ? I'm going in there Friday may 1 for an oil change ,now there is yet another recall. I think I'm going to tell the service manager "At the end of the year I'm going to collect all the recalls I can save them up, then have them all done at the same time. "

Same here. I was going to schedule air bag and TRM recalls, but now will for sun visor recall.

As I read the NHTSA recall report Ford is going to check the fault codes and if a fault code indicated that a short circuit had occured, then they would inspect the wiring.

otherwise we would just get a software update that would not allow continuous resets for the short circuit. Although I would imagine if you got the error code, Ford would inspect and replace the wiring.

however, it would seem a no brainer to examine the wiring while the airbag recall is being done.

I have posted before about a crackling noise heard in the headliner when the sliding rear window is open. My VIN is on the list.I read we are not supposed to park it in your garage per Ford. Just in time for Midwest hail season… get off your ass Ford!

Then you have a different problem This recall is for wiring for the sun visor mirror lamp, nothing the rear sliding window.
