If does does the stupid and kills Ranger they will lose me as a customer. Instead of moving to another Ford product when it's time to buy again.....I'll be buying a Dakota or (shockingly) a Ridgeline. Not a Bronco base P/U.
Yes, that would be true for a lot of Ranger fans including me. But I'm feeling optimistic that what we'll see coming out of TTP will be even better. Our Aussie friends proved themselves with the 6G Ranger and know what they're doing.

Same truck...just a different name in North America. 🤷‍♂️
Yes, same heritage but we're going to see more cab/bed options, a hybrid version and a Super Duty version. I'm betting it will also address the fleet market (Ford Pro) segment that wants something smaller than the current F-Series. A flavor for everyone more like what the F-150 provides but in a Ranger sized package.

I kinda dig the F100 as a name plate, but the Ranger is legendary.
That is very true for ROW but not as much for North America. This is why it will continue with the Ranger branding for ROW and will be absorbed within the F-Series branding for North America. I think Ford has a really solid plan here. I'm eager to learn more as this rolls out.

Ain't that the truth! 🤣

Transitioning the Ranger to an F-100 model definitely makes sense. Ford gets to keep the "number one selling truck for the last billion years" and the rest of us actually get some marketing and development money invested in the Ranger.
Maybe it will finally get ARB to pay attention to us and bring those accessories over from down-under we've been begging for.

Yeah, but that's Stellantis. Nobody is jealous of Stellantis.

As somebody who has had three dozen vehicles from all the major brands in the U.S. I can assure you that your comments in jest are unfounded.

But don't take my word for it... just look at how Stellantis sales are the only ones increasing annually because they make the vehicles people WANT. Which is precisely why Ford, in the early 2020s, decided they wanted a slice of that pie and brought back the Bronco....and now going forward are targeting the other vehicles Stellantis has had massive success with rather than coming up with their own ideas.

Be honest. It's not because they make vehicles people want. It's because Stellantis will literally give a loan to anyone with a pulse who is willing to drive their shitboxes.

RR is Avery niche product, just like any Raptor or special nameplates like Blackwings or M-Cars. They have and hold a special place for the owners of these cars and trucks. So I am not sure they would ever appeal to the masses as they say.
I am
In it for the long-haul!!!

Reminds me of the Ford Explorer Sports Trac. And where are they today?
Exactly.🤑 Ford made the Bronco pickup already (in 1966.) It was called the" Ranch Hand" model or something similar ? .................and NO it did not take the truck world by storm...just like the Sport Trac. It will NOT sell in high numbers. Just my opinion ......BUT I was at the ford dealer last week and there are a lot of Broncos on the lot unsold. 2 Rangers. but everything is too much Money imo💰💰💰💰

If it had a 5.0 I would go for it, probably :) otherwise my tuned RRaptor is just fine. But is that is what it will look like it makes the Gladiator look like a Lego truck.

I would definitely trade in my Ranger Raptor for a Bronco truck. It makes a lot of sense for Ford to do this and compete with the Gladiator. Sasquatch Package, short wheelbase, and pickup bed, with a removal top and doors would be so cool. But it is a niche market for sure. Bronco Raptor Truck? Heck yeah! I would also love to see a 2 door Bronco Pickup like the old days.

Do I think the Ranger should go away? No, but bring the Super Duty to the US.

As for sales, it’s difficult to actually find a Ranger on the lot in my area. Dealers seem to sell them quickly or they aren’t ordering much of them. Not sure what’s going on with the Ranger Market.
