No, and I haven't heard of any vehicle with starter problems due to ASS.
Not yet..... let it cook for five or six years
This is what AI said about it.

The starter motor in a Ford Ranger Raptor is designed to handle the increased number of starts and stops

The auto start-stop system may not shut off the engine if the battery is charging, the engine is warming up, or if the air conditioning or heat is being used.
load of dog doo. A good deal of the wear in the engine also takes place during starting anyway. So running around town starting and stopping at every red light every stop sign, yeah that's dumb.

Agreed…..one of the first mods I did to my truck was add the start stop over ride. For me best $100 I’ve spent thus far!!

Agreed ! Not good for any starter or engine. That's why my "R" Raptor button is set to Sport, 4A, Normal shocks and I use it everytime I take off with my truck. No need for ASS eliminator for me.

I know this is dumb but I'd rather know, I use 4A sporadically as needed, but I'm guessing it is ok to drive in 4A all the time without damaging anything?

I asked the same question on several of these threads with no luck. So I just now asked Google, and Google used whatever AI system it does on Android, and this is what it gave me.

That's pretty much what I thought all along. I still don't know if this is correct. Because AI can lie to you sometimes. But I would guess if we have 4A and 4H, this makes total sense. Unless somebody else can chime in with some factual information, I am going to believe this to be the case. I do feel more comfortable now that I found this, hopefully you as well. Maybe start a thread "4A vs. 4H" and post my screenshot.

when I go to their site it says "out of stock" when I check amazon with my vehicle noted in my garage it brings up one that is available, on the list it says fits all F150 from 2019 t0 2025, is the device for the Ranger and the F150 the same?

update: yes their order website said out of stock, amazon does not have the 24 Ranger even listed, only one they have is the 24-25 F150 thought it might b the same as Ranger as so many things are. I called 4Dtech up and a very helpful person said that the F150 would not work, he said the Ranger seems to be a very high in demand item, he agreed the the website says out of stock, he then said we do have them and he would take the order on the phone, I received I a few days later, he did say he did not know why Amazon does not have the 24 Ranger listed. got it on Monday, now to install it, some people say rather hard to get the plugs released from the trucks wire harness, we will see.

Has anyone ever installed this, seems impossible to get the factory plug out of the module, even their instruction video looks like they removed the passenger seat. I don't even think that will help truthfully, the clip that is suppose to be on the factory plug does not appear there. thinking of returning the product.
Dozens of others have installed it. Some had difficulties, others were able to do it in under 10 minutes.
I have arthritis in both hands. It took about 15 minutes to complete the job. The trick is to find the right location of the tab that needs to be depressed to disengage the plug. Take another look at the video.
It's really not that difficult.

Lots have installed this (including myself). The installation is very easy. However removing the factory connector is not easy at all. I struggled with it until I watched a video done by Flaberdoopin. Move the passenger seat as far back as you can and when trying to release the connector follow The video suggestion at about 3 minutes in - pushing on the detent as high as you can.

I saved my usual settings in the "R" mode, which included having the auto stop/start disabled. Now when I get in I just hit the "R" button on the steering twice, I get what I want for exhaust (baja), suspension (normal), steering (comfort), drive mode (normal), and stop/start disabled.

Yes to get that plug off you need to be pushing in the middle of it...

Yes it can, check the big FORscan thread.

ETA- some of the guys may be testing the functionality, but I believe it can be done.
They're wrong - because of the shortages we saw in 2021, most USA car companies could not get this part, so they left it out. Now, it's no longer cost effective to add the part 4DTech sells, which used to be standard. The people telling you forescan does this are mistaken, as you need keep-alive memory - exactly what the 4DTech part does. Cheaper units use a fuse that will blow within a few months.

Well after hours and hours of trying to get the OEM plug disconnected I finally got it, I don't think I have ever done anything s\that was so much near impossible, not to mention cutting both hands to shreds on all the sharp metal bracing in that area, maybe the jacks on my truck had less clearance than some trucks due to tolerance issues, in the 2 days I worked on this I called the company and spoke to a very helpful person named Brad, he said it was easy as can be, not on my truck, at least 3 times I started to box I up o return it, and then decided to tackle it again, I thought that removing the passenger seat was the only way to get in there although Brad assured me that is not what he did to make the video. and just like that on try 1000 the plug came free. it did take only a moment to install. the device works perfectly and much like giving birth the pain goes away once the start stop has been defeated. on my 22 Lariat there was a plug on the neg battery terminal that would stop the start stop once it is undone without any ill effects, on the 24 the neg battery plug does not negate the start stop once unplugged. and by the way I am a airframe and power plant mechanic,so I am no stranger to working in tight spots, this was one of the worst things I have worked on. anyway glad it works.

What you need is a left handed person with child sized hands. Then it would be a piece of cake. End of the day, worth the trouble, in my opinion.
