Not so sure about that. I've seen a lot of tunes increase MPG along with power. I'm hoping this improves MPG as well.Doesnt make it go up, guaranteed.

I'd check with another dealer who is more in the know if possible. The Ford Performance ProCal4 device is what installs the tune - not their computer interface.I went to the dealership where I purchased my RRaptor from today and they looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked if they could purchase and install this. Told me they could not even order it nor install it because they are not a Ford Performance dealership and that I would have to call around to find one. Said they weren’t even sure if one existed in the entire state of NC. Their explanation was that the interface on the computer they use is completely different than the Ford Performance software. Not sure why it would be difficult to plug this up but that’s what I was told.
Just called Ford Performance and they said what I was told was a bunch of bologna. That a few years ago all dealerships became Ford Performance certified and that they can order it through their FAD system. Also told me that if the dealership is being a PITA about it, that we can order from a third party like CJ Pony Parts and that it would even be below MSRP that way, then take it to any ASE certified technician and they could install it and keep the warranty because part of the installation instructions are to register the calibration via email to ford with certification number. May just go that route and save the headache and some coin, too.I'd check with another dealer who is more in the know if possible. Lethal Performance is listing it on their site tomorrow and has a Labor Day weekend sale 10% off (they list it at $695). I chatted with their online CS, they put a custom quote together, and boom done.Just called Ford Performance and they said what I was told was a bunch of bologna. LOL I JUST had a similar conversation w/a parts counter guy at my local dealer this AM, except it went like this ME: "hi, are you guys a ford performance dealer? Some dealers say they aren't" PARTS GUY: "those guys are lying to you, all Ford dealers are Ford performance dealers. We just tell you guys that because Ford performance stuff is a royal PITA to look up". Gotta admire dude's honesty!I went to the dealership where I purchased my RRaptor from today and they looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked if they could purchase and install this. While the tune may make it go up, the fact you can now drive faster makes it go down. Gotta use full throttle all the time man or you are letting that Nissan leaf beside you win.Not so sure about that. I've seen a lot of tunes increase MPG along with power. I'm hoping this improves MPG as well.
Order it from a thirty part (e.g. Lethal Performance) and then take it to a independent shop.any dealer here in Cali you guys know that can order and install?![]()
called the dealer where i got my RR and they said “its non California and it would be illegal”![]()

The Procal 4 seems similar to the Livernois tool used in the ROW. It downloads and stores the stock PCM calibration then flashes the performance tune.Is this an ECU flash/upload of some kind, or is the tool pictured a piggyback device. I'm new to Ford performance stuff....
