I have the tonneau from the thread linked below. There's pictures of mine in that thread, if you zoom in you can see the black silicone between the trim and bed. The gorilla tape isn't visible, it's way up near the bulkhead covering the large openings on the left and right. Some people say they've shoved a tennis ball in the openings to prevent water and dust from coming in.

Ok thanks again. So with doing this you didnt have to plug the other smaller holes inside the bed? I have read others have filled those holes with rubber grommets.

Hey there - I didn't do anything beyond what I described, no grommets. If the stake bed caps and the sides are sealed, nothing is going to leak down to the holes. If the holes are filled with grommets, but the stake bed caps are leaking above them, water is still going to get in. The problem with only filling the holes is the inside of the plastic bed trim is not sealed on the inside of the truck bed. In my opinion the stake bed caps must be sealed. Here's a picture with the arrow showing the inside gap that will leak if only the holes are filled/covered but the stake bed caps are not sealed.

That's lot of holes under the caps.
I'm sure they all must have a purpose.

This is why the Rangers bed gets wet. It’s best to take the plastic covers off and seal all the holes with vinyl.
How did you get the 2 front plastic prongs closest to the bulkhead?

Sorry for being late to the conversation. Have owned 4 pickups in the past and am buying a ranger raptor. I have always installed an Undercover bed cover and have never had a leak problem. Does undercover make a cover for the ranger raptor?

I’m the OP for this thread. I ordered a Diamondback cover over the weekend. I also have a roll of sign vinyl, a pack of rubber grommets, and some silicone caulk ready to go before I install the Diamondback.

I know this is overkill for a lot of people, but I want the bed area waterproof.
