Is everyone running 30 psi that the door recommends?
I have visions of tire separation like the Explorers used to have a problem with due to low tire pressure.
My 21 FX2 called for 35 and I had 55000 on the original Hankooks.

I run slightly higher on mine, but all tires are different and I'm sure Goodyear knows what they are specifying. My question is for the future. When mine wear out, I'll be going with probably a street tire for my 4x2.

It's never been clear to me how to know the right pressure with different tire types. The street tires on my 5G called for 35psi.

I have often wondered about this, as the bottom of the tire always looks like it's sagging.

I have been running 30 in mine for 4 months no problems. Will get the dealer to add some pressure to them in the fall as they put nitrogen in them.

I run a bit lower, 27-28 when cold.

But I’m replacing the tires soon.

If you keep the same load rating of the tire as on the placard in the door, (111T), then the truck can carry its full axle load at 30 PSI. You can add more, if you are hauling a heavy load, but never exceed the sidewall rating on the tire. Heat is what kills tires, that's why its important to keep them properly inflated. If you exceed the door placard when empty, you will increase wear in the center of the tire.

Yes I run 30 and thats not a low tire pressure.

I run 78% nitrogen
I was giving the Nitrogen salesguy a hard time, he said nitrogen is better because the oxygen permeates through the tire. I said well doesn't that mean you're left with just nitrogen, he didn't have a comeback. Not a single mechanic at my dealership used it, even for free.

We use it up here because it gets really cold and it doesn't drop as much as normal air plus I can get it for free at work if need be. Work at airport Fire Dept and they use it in airplane tires.

Is that to make sure there's no humidity in the tire?

That's proper, tires are your first line of suspension. You want a degree of tire drop for comfort and traction.
