Help with a lean the dealership can't fix

There's probably a load calculation that could be done for one inch of suspension drop. I'm guessing it can't possibly be insignificant if it's just weight related, right? Would have to be a few hundred pounds? When I had 1k lbs in my bed last weekend the rear was only compressed maybe 2-3 inches or so, but I was just eyeballing it.

Hmmm... has anyone actually bothered to try to corner balance a stock RR? Be interesting to see what the weight distribution looks like. If things look good, the asymmetry might be normal and possibly beneficial.

I would be curious also as to the weight distribution.

I checked my lariat and it’s 1/4” low in the driver side with a full tank of gas.

and it looks like measuring top of tire rim, height is lower on that side also by a small amount.

so suspect the weight distribution driver to passenger side is not even

Not me. Its barely in the twenties here with wind gusts to 40 MPH. Maybe in a month or two.

This thread had me curious, I would be really peeved if the lean was noticeable. I would think an inch would stand out, but had not noticed or checked mine.

With a full tank of gas my driver side is only 1/8th inch or about 2mm lower. Build date Nov 2025. Maybe this was fixed with the newer build dates?

My bed molle panels come in today (Excited to see them from American Adventure Labs). Will put a couple of the heavier items on the passenger side to see if it levels the small difference out.

I would almost advise you don't go out and check, lol. Its like one of those Where Is Waldo or Optical Illusion tricks or something- You cant see it until you do and then you can't unsee it.

Also, ive seen people discussing the curb weights on different sides, but if that was the case one would think that my 1 inch lean would be more with a full tank and driver- but it is still an inch. The entire ride height goes down a couple of inches, but the lean is always the same amount.

I really think there is more to it in the configuration and that's why I hope one of the suspension gurus jumps in to this thread.

I can only reiterate, this is 100% normal and Ford will NOT do anything as they state it is within specs. If you don't have the lean, fantastic, buy a lottery ticket. If you do, welcome to owning a truck. Toyota has this problem so bad it was dubbed the Toyota lean for years. Every single truck built regardless of maker, suffers the same. Go to a Chevy forum, or Dodge forum, search for driver side lean, trust me, they all have it. I do know that SOME guys actually SHIM the bed off the frame, if it bothers you that much. But otherwise, tis what it is! I had the lean on my RR and no lean on my FX4.

I knew I had seen it somewhere. In another thread of the same thing a year and a half ago (which you also replied in, lol) someone attached the spec sheet. side to side lean tolerance is 8MM (about a third of an inch). I don't have an issue with Ford saying its within spec- They agreed at the dealership that it wasn't. It's that they cant figure out how to fix it.

Hey guys, I have a 2025 RR and it leans almost exactly an inch down on the drivers side front and rear.

The dealership has replaced the coilovers (per ford guidance) and then "adjusted" it after the new springs still didn't fix it. No matter what they do the lean is always an inch.... its almost like its calibrated that way. - new springs, new parts, same exact amount of lean. Fuel empty, full, driver, no driver, the amount of total height changes but the lean is always the same. just over 1 inch.

My dealership is out of ideas. 3 weeks it has spent in the shop now and they just don't get it.

Any suspension gurus out there have any ideas? Could it be a computer problem? Can the computer somehow sense the truck lean and is manually shifting it, but is mis-calibrated or something?

Please help me, my OCD is going crazy!

It's the spread of the contagious Taco lean, my tacomas notoriously had that and my RR has it too. Bitter union employees don't help the situation.

A good frame shop should be able see if the frame needs a little tweaking.

The likelihood that every spring made for these vehicles being *exactly* the same height, rate, etc. has to be near zero. There will be engineering tolerances built into the process that allow for variations in all kinds of things.

You see I thought that too, but after new springs and whatever other 'adjustments' the dealership did the lean is exactly the same to the mm. What are the odds of that? Impossible imo.

I really believe there is more to the story than we think.
