complete BS, but you probably know that. I was in same situation as OP here and educated myself on the 3rd gen Frontier after someone here pointed me the King Cab. My 2024 Frontier SV King Cab with Technology and Convenience packages has top of the line equipped Ranger XLT beat easily and moving into Lariat territory. And it comes standard with the V6 too and was $37.5k OTD.

carry on with your delusion waiting for Ford to match it- if they can.
Enjoy your Frontier; may it serve you well.

I owned a 2022 SV Frontier with both packages. It's 2 generations back from the Current Ranger, I also owned a 2020 Ranger, and it was more sophisticated that the Current Frontier, and 400lbs lighter in the same Trim. Current R6G is 2 gens ahead and 400 lbs lighter. It's a good truck, don't get me wrong, but nowhere as nice as the Ranger. Just some info from someone that's owned both.

If anybody is reading this and has trouble fitting into airline seats, don't even bother with the Frontier. I sat in one while waiting for my local Ford dealer to get Rangers in stock. Right knee hit the 4WD mode switch, complete non-starter, didn't even bother with a test drive.

Everything about that truck seemed old school compared to the Colorado and Ranger. I did kinda like that but just couldn't fit. Small screens, lots of push buttons, actual gauge dials.

I was also concerned about a non turbo motor for high elevation performance. It's not unusual for my weekends to start at 6000ft and involve camping at 11K+.

Airline seat is a good analogy. I sat in one at the Philly Auto Show back in January and had the same experience. No matter how I adjusted the seat, my knees were hitting or riding on something on either side of my 6'3" body frame. The low tech really did not bother me and probably would have bought one had the seating been better.

Why is your need for a 6ft a deal breaker?? What are you gaining or i guess maintaining with that extra foot?
That extra foot means a lot to me. I do a lot of long term wilderness adventures and must carry a lot of supplies, clothing and gear to allow me to stay in the wilderness long term without having to resupply all the time. I build cabinets to hold most everything and that extra foot gives me a little more space to move around in my camper.

Yes, I could use the back cab area of a crew cab for supplies but that is not convenient. I like to keep things as simple as possible when setting up camp. I have done thing type of thing since 1977 and know what works best for me.

I'm Keeping my '19 Supercab Ras long as I can.
I really wanted to buy a 2025 Ranger. My requirement were pretty basic. I wanted the 2.7L V6 and a Supercab with a 6 ft bed. A Tremor with that would have been ideal but I could build my own if needed. Ford came through on the V6 engine but failed me on the Supercab. Now, I will be looking for alternatives. I have been a Ford man all my life and changing that could be difficult but not impossible.
Probably lots of 5G Supercab Rangers out there for sale.
I'm keeping mine as long as I can. Once it has had its last supper, if no one brings one back to the market I'll be going to a regular cab F150.

I just finished a 1000 mile trip through MA and NY with a little bit of PA and CT. I saw very few full-size pickups, mostly mid-size and they were 50% extended cabs. Ford and GM are leaving money on the table.

Did you actually see that many or did your mind trick you to focus on seeing that many at the expense of discounting/ignoring others because that is your preferred bias? Kind of like when you buy a new to you model vehicle and then you suddenly start seeing them more when you never paid attention to them in the past.

50% is a pretty high percentage of such things.

In TX, full-size quad cabs is the most common, but in the NE it was mid-size pickups, 50/50 extended cabs. Given the choices Ford and GM made, I think their owners will be keeping them longer than initially expected.

Exactly, this article from 2020 states crew cab sales account for 83.1% of sales for 2020MY. Yet @Justamessenger claims half? Unless the 16.9% of sales are only in the Northeast, I call shenanigans.

Plenty of those mid-size pickups were manufactured before 2020. You and the other guy don’t get it, it was roughly half of the mid-size pickups on the road in one part of the country. It ‘s not an observation of the entire country, and it wasn’t new vehicles, in fact many of them were over 10 years old. I can’t make it any simpler for you, so if you don’t believe me, just go away.

You guys realize that many of the extended cabs were purchased as fleet trucks. I worked for Oreilly who purchased thousands of them. Likely many other companies bought them as well.
Oreilly has since switched to the Maverick due to cost.

The problem with the extra cab models in the Tacoma and Frontier is they're super stripped down trucks. If you could have bought either with the packaging level of say the XLT I'd probably be driving one of them.

where are you getting this stuff from? I guarantee you it is 1 million % false and I have the truck to prove it. Google Nissan Frontier 2025 Press Kit and you can see for yourself. Specifically look at the SV and Technology and SV Convenience package options. It also is standard with 310 hp non-turbo V6 and NO delays, quality stop ships or recalls plaguing the Ranger. Also only needs 87 octane regular instead of 91 octane recommended by Ford for "best overall performance " in their small Turbo motors like the Maverick I had.
