Yep.. Tis the season here in the Midwest for my RR to go all batty with the front parking sensor. It's 10 degrees out so I mentally prepared for the ding and to quickly turn off park assist. It will need to be off until Spring. My dealer has offered to put in new sensors but from all my research that will do nothing. This has been a long standing issue that is so far down the Ford priority list we might as well not hold our breath.

Yep, my 2025 with 1000 miles just started going ape shit with the sensors when it got cold here in Chicago. Very annoying.

I don’t think there is a way to turn a singular sensor off. I know ford is aware of it, but there doesn’t seem to be a fix. I don’t see how it can’t be an OTA update

Had a new one happen on Sunday. I was using adaptive cruise control during a 3 hour road trip and even with the sensors turned off I got a sensor blocked error which locked me out of using adaptive cc. I had to fumble with the driver settings while driving to change it over to normal cruise control. The truck even hit the brakes to disengage when it happened which pis*ed me off more than anything.

In the driver assist settings you can turn off the front parking sensors. This eliminates the front approach camera and the notification beeps. Just an FYI.

Thanks. It was in the teens here in Pa today so I am sure that had something to do with it.

Ironically, on my 2024 Ranger Raptor, I'm no longer seeing this issue. It's almost as though my "sensors" have adjusted to the climate here in Canada. It was basically a daily occurrence in the spring when I first picked up the truck, became non-existent over the summer, and now that we're back into freezing weather, my front (and other) sensors *appear* to be working just fine.

It's almost as though the sensors have a "break-in" period of some sort, which may be a factor in why Ford has been unable to come up with a software or hardware fix for it.

My Front sensors are acting up again to the point where the front camera turns on. The sensors think something is in front of me but nothing is there. I cleaned the front sensors today when I got home with a cloth. See what happens and will update my post. By the way it was -10 here in Wyoming. From the sound of things Ford doesn’t have a fix yet.

When pulling into my tight garage space I get an error saying the Front Sensors are blocked. Sometimes the camera will turn off when I get this error and have to hit the camera button again. What’s weird I sometimes get this error when pulling out of my garage, why would it be complaining about the front when backing up?

Any suggestions or tips? My guess this is normal behavior from how sensitive the sensors are.
Happens to me all the time and has the two yrs ive owned it.

Mine do this when I go through the car wash and the water freezes over them.

Has anyone had this problem fixed? Looks like both front sensors must be replaced even if just the left one is complaining.

My passenger's side went nuts over the weekend when I was out in the middle of a light snow storm. Wiped off some ice and it was a little better, but after a bit it started complaining again and kept squawking at every intersection. I just wound up throwing the sensor off switch. The other winter woe I encountered was that the auto folding mirrors froze solid at the first sign of frozen precipitation. Pretty annoying as no mirrors until they unfold and it took quite a bit of driving before they finally released. Turned that feature off as well until the spring. Certainly seems the RR is more of dry desert truck than wet winter one.

2024 RRaptor, 13,600 miles on the truck and just this morning Front passenger side sensor went nuts as i pulled up to a light to take a left turn, and continued until i parked. It is 10 degrees F out so we'll see what happens if up warms up later this afternoon. Also gave the reporting sensor a finger wipe as I walked away. It was def covered in some salt/road grime but didn't seem too bad...

My XLT started giving me the front parking sensor error. The temp dropped here and it does it every time I come to a stop. Annoying as hell. Mine is the right sensor. Sensors are clean.
