Stopped by the local Ford dealer today. The sales guy tried to tell me that people are still paying $5k-$10k over MSRP for Ranger Raptors.

I find this somewhat hard to believe. Is this true? I know another local dealer network has 4 of them on their lot(s).

If I take our local dealer at their word, they were only allocated one 2024 RR from Ford, and ended up being able to order two. And they've been allocated two 2025 RR from Ford at this point, with no knowledge of getting any additional.

So I guess I can see where they'd be trying to get $5K over invoice at their dealership. That certainly sucks, but it forced me to be more practical 😂

I am picking one up today for 2k under msrp! The truck hasn’t even been sitting a long time. It just arrived Wednesday morning.
That's a smoking deal given there is only ~ $2,500 spread between MSRP and Dealer Cost on these. (Note I said Dealer Cost, not Invoice.)

Of course some had early rebates and of course DOC fees and other add-ons will get the dealer some of that back, if applicable.

I stopped by a couple of dealers in South Charlotte, last Saturday. Two RR on the Ford lot with one of the two already sold. Dealer had a $5k ADM on it and I told the sales person that there is no way I’d pay a penny over sticker and that I work too hard to piss money away. He agree personally, but mentioned if the demand is there and people are still okay paying it, that they would keep attempting to add it.

Even crazier was a Tacoma Trailhunter down the road at a Toyota dealership with a $68k sticker BEFORE a $5k ADM…. Absolutely ridiculous price for a midsize truck! Only reason I’m even considering a Tacoma is the crewcab/ longbed configuration. But the back seat still sucks, base prices are higher than the competion and they have a major quality issue right now (transmissions).

Honestly, I’ll keep driving my 2002 F-150 (bought new almost 23 years ago). Only 116k on the odometer and nothing wrong with it mechanically, just looks like hell. I really want to see what a ‘25 Marsh Gray RR looks like in person. Not thrilled about the gas mileage on the RR either and would actually prefer a Tremor if Ford would only bring it to the NA market. Same with a SuperCrew longbed configuration. So I continue to wait.

I'm one state away in MD and just purchased an RR for MSRP in the DC suburbs. I just saw it being advertised online, reached out to the dealer to confirm the price and jumped on it because several others I was looking at were suddenly gone. When I was shopping, I noticed PA RRs were going for $5-10K over, not sure why the market is like that there. Like others have said, you may have to expand your search and be willing to travel to another state. Good luck with your search!

@ Fattirz in NC Well the Tremor came in '21 the 3rd year for the 5th Gen so maybe next year, Ford has to keep the interest, it's marketing 101.

Is it possible to buy under MSRP if you order from the factory?

Is it possible to avoid port-installed scams er I mean options if you order from the factory?

Thanks.

When I was looking for one earlier this year, then stopped, about 1 month later I got hit up by two dealers ready to do for INVOICE. I didn't take it because I was no longer looking at the time.

Ford isn't gonna give these stealerships a 2025 if they still haven't managed to sell their 2024 I bet. They think these are easy to sell to masses but its a specialty vehicle and after the initial launch hype passes, they're not as easy to sell I'm willing to bet.

I ended up searching again a month ago and about 10 dealership calls, I found one that would sell at MSRP. If a dealer gives you BS like this, just say alright, I'll keep looking, hit me up when you want to sell it for MSRP. Respectful, but stern, and move on. You'll find one.
