If you can find a left handed person with small hands, they would have an easier time disconnecting the original wiring harness.

I did this the other day. The clip on the back i had to depress with one finger and use my other hand to wiggle the connector.
This^^^

It took a few minutes but I gently squeezed and got it apart. Reconnecting is a challenge because of the tight space. This video helped me.

If you find this difficult wait until you do the amber drl converson!

Awesome! Thank you, Watchdog62, so much for your extra effort with the video.
That should help me make the modification which is planned for tomorrow.
Glad to know I don't have to "stand on my head & gargle peanut butter!"
Seriously, thanks for all the responses to my original question. 🤠

Installed the rear seat Console Vault. As others have mentioned the installation is fairly straightforward. Fat hands and fingers do not make installation easier as I found out. But with patience and small enough tools it is quite doable. The unit looks good and is sturdy. Obviously it is not a bank vault and a determined thief with tools can open it, but it is a protection against casual theft or theft in a crowded place like a parking lot etc. I am happy with it.

I bought it direct from Console Vault during their 4th of July sale. After I placed the order, I learned about a discount code that I was not previously aware of. I emailed customer service asking whether I could retroactively apply the code to the order. They very quickly did so and I saved some money on top of the sale price. So, shout out to Console Vault for not insisting on some “code must be applied at time of purchase” provision.

Oil change day. Fumoto valve and 2 foot of hose makes for no mess

Well, today I tried a DIY oil change in the RR. I’ve changed my own oil for years in a number of different vehicles. Never have I had one with this style of drain plug. That thing is crap. Glad I ordered the Ronin plug to replace that POS. I have never once spilled anywhere near that much oil. Now I’ve got a major driveway cleanup project to do. Tubing from here on out.

If you think you’ll be able to catch the oil in a standard style drain pan, think again. If you have a bucket that’ll fit, that’s the way to go. It hit my drain pan and splashed everywhere. 🤬

I picked up a 2.7 Lariat to replace my 2.0 Maverick.

I didn't realize I'd be "upgraded" to a plastic oil plan and plastic drain plug that's a pain in the ass to use. I picked up a Ronin and will likely do an oil change soon.

Curious for folks that looked at the Fumoto option too - what made you go with the Ronin?

Fumoto does not make a valve for the 2.7L plastic pan. I bought the this UPR.

Got the Amp mounted. Finishing up sub enclosure and then need to start the wiring. Hope the amp works when it’s wired lol. I’ve had this amp since 2007 and it’s been in several vehicles running 2-12’s to 2-10’s to a small slim line JL 10. It’s gonna power a JL 10 that’s going in a box to fit in the large underseat compartment
