This may have been covered before but I didn't see it. I came home last night and parked my truck, all closed up. Looked and window up. When I came out this morning all 4 windows were down? I hadn't touch the key since I parked it or even before that as it was in my pocket. I know you can open all 4 windows with the key fob but I'm positive I didn't . Any idea how this would happen? Thanks.

Maybe you leant up against your keys? I’ve locked/unlocked my Ranger many times by accident by leaning over the tailgate with the key fob in my pocket. Surprisingly doesn’t take much to activate the buttons

Thanks for the input. I suppose I could have although the truck was about 50 yards. Would it work that far through walls etc.

Yes, I have found the fob works up to several hundred yards in open air, and even ~200 yards through the laminated windows of my office

There was a lot of talk about the all-windows-down thing on the Colorado/Canyon forums. Most people just disabled it. I have done the same for my RR

I’ll have to disable it. Thanks

Had exactly the same thing happen, except I was going into storage area, came out and all the windows open. Same thing that happens when I'm leaving the house at 0430 and have keys in my jeans pocket; it magically finds a way to activate the panic alarm and horn and all hell breaks loose. Amazing how the other stuff in your pocket conspires against you to open those damn windows. I disabled it before I had it happen one night with a big rainstorm. Then I'd really be peeved.

Looking at the manual it says...
USING GLOBAL OPENING

1. Press and release the unlock button on the remote control.

2. Within one second, press and hold the unlock button on the remote control.

3. Release the button when the windows

start to open.

I really doubt I did that. 🤔

You'd be surprised what can happen when the fob is left to its own devices in your pocket...

Another thing that helps immensely is you get a fob cover. Makes pressing the buttons accidentally a lot more difficult

I got these: https://a.co/d/0449mkmD

The only issue is that if you use the physical key (like to lock the glovebox) you have to remove the cover, and it is a PITA

Yeah, I got these clear covers after setting off the alarm accidentally. Haven't had a problem since. Buttons can still be pressed but takes a little more effort...In a good way.

Does it make the fob feel much fatter? I don't know why the mfrs keep making them bigger...

It is a little bit thicker, but not much. We've got a Honda Passport and the remote is about half the size of Ford's. The buttons on it are recessed and less prone to accidental activation, too.
