I’ve done a half-a**ed search on what it would take to switch a RR over to E-85, but haven’t found much. Anyone have knowledge in this?

GooseTuned’s explanation
Looks like we can run E50 as built with a tune.
I am guessing the High Pressure fuel pump and injectors would need to be changed plus a tune.
Edit: I just read more. Low pressure in tank High pressure and injectors need to be changed to run E85.

I just use 93.

When I come across ethanol-free fuel, I generally pull in and fill up while I'm there.

91/92/93, it varies by where I happen to need to fill up.

93 in mine. noticed that it’s peppier after a couple of tank fulls. the gas here has 10% ethanol.

This poll won’t mean anything because the available octane varies with altitude and geographical location. I use Maverik 91 ethanol free, the highest grade around here, when I am near a station. The truck just feels better and the extra 20 cents per gallon (compared to 91 10% ethanol) is made up by slightly better mpgs. Plus the Maverik blue pump handle matches the truck paint color ;) Generic pic attached….

FYI you need a full tank of the alcohol free gas to feel the difference, topping up a half full tank of normal gas won’t show much improvement…

When on road trips I use any MID grade.

If the color matches, have to use it!

91 ethanol free if it's available. Higher grade if its available. Some places have 92

Well.... I guess I'm in the minority. I use 87 octane and I get it from Costco most of the time because it's top tier gas (with detergents). When I'm not near Costco I get Exxon because I have one of their credit cards and get a $.10 per gallon price break.

I feel that I get great performance from my stock 25RR and wouldn't get a tune that makes me need to use higher 91 or higher octane due to the big price differential.
