Yes! I was teasing around a bit. Although I get a lot of mail from Ford, my 2024 has been bulletproof. Not a lot of miles in it yet, but I love the truck and there was no going back to Tundra after their loss of mechanical invincibility and appearance. Chased the look of the Raptor, and failed..
Yea no worries. I was speaking in general anyways. i mean i have a 23 Bronco to and have some recalls but non with the 2.7. Less than my Ranger but still no big deal. I mean one is child safety locks which i dont care about. The other is the hard top side glass could fall out. I’ll get that one done soon but mine seem secured and it it falls out. Plastic bag it. Ain’t nobody climbing through that anyways lol

I like Fords I like my truck. I havent checked to see if my truck is affec ted yet. But many more recalls like this , Im almost ready to go look at a Tacoma, or a v6 ranger. But I would loose my butt on trade in. Toyota is even prouder of their trucks thsn ford.. ie.. price. Ford is going to have to start getting it right thr 1st time, especially on. Critical, pricey things like the engine. I bought a
new truck vs driviving a old one to hsve a vehicle I can depend on. Especially for what it cost. I was very critical of anyone's turbo engine anyway for long haul.

To get to the point, I wonder what the fix is?

That's not many vehicles involved and it looks like mine isn't affected by this one. At least not yet.

My 2015 ram 2500 had tons of recalls like 7-9 I think over time. Got lots of free parts and replacements because of it 😁

The recall states Engine Assembly Replacement , if that's what you're asking.

Most of these recalls are just a part that failed and when Ford found the failed part, they recalled the entire batch that it was in. Every now and then, they missed a few. I had a 91 F150 5.0L that kept acting strange. The original dealer was worthless, but another dealer had a mechanic who recognized the problem as similar to the issues from a previous distributor recall. He was able to prove it to Ford and they replaced the distributor. The last heard from that truck was it was still running with over 300k miles and the engine was untouched.

The demands on manufactures to out tech their competitors is immense, and many issues demand long periods of abuse to locate. Hard to do when the bosses are demanding a product that can mean the difference between profit or loss. And worse are the issues when thousands of lines of code are working fine, until they encounter another function's code and strange things start to happen.

I have a 93 f150 5.0 ,bought relatively new. 160k plus.
Its having some problems ,but its wear n tear or age issues, not defective parts.

I love my 24, but in 40k, it’s had an engine and a transmission replaced under warranty already.

it might feel like death by a thousand cuts with the recalls we’ve had thus far, but if you think a Tacoma is better with regard to reliability then take some time and read what owners are actually saying. Toyota has had plenty of issues with their new tundras and tacomas, and many are far more serious than a pinched wire or software updates. Instead of jumping out of the proverbial frying pan into the fire, trading your Ranger for a Tacoma is at best like jumping out of the frying pan into another frying pan.
